Ready or not it’s time to get your creepy on….

IT'S FESTIVAL WEEK! We are so excited to see everyone on Saturday. If you've got questions, please ask them here- but only after reading through the FOO FAQ below!

WHAT/WHEN/WHERE? A Festival of Oddities is the Lansing area's original oddities festival, and is a celebration of all things macabre. It is Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 11am to 6pm at the Courthouse Square Museum in Charlotte, Michigan.

WHAT DOES IT COST? Admission to lawn activities is free. Admission to the museum is $5/person. THERE ARE NO TICKETS TO THE FESTIVAL, SO DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAMMERS THAT COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK IN THE DAYS LEADING UP TO THE EVENT. Museum admission is paid at the door, and again, lawn admission is free. There are tickets, however, for our presentations, the ghost hunt following the festival, and the Friday the 13th screening at Eaton Theatre. (More info on that further down.)

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT? All ages are welcome (and encouraged to join us!), but parental discretion is advised.

WHERE DO I PARK? There is free street parking downtown, as well as a large public lot across the street from the museum on the corner of Harris and Cochran, and several public lots on the 100 block of Bostick. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE of the homes and businesses in the area- do not block driveways, park on lawns, or park in the lots of private businesses.

ARE YOU STILL ACCEPTING VENDORS? No. Our Macabre Marketplace has been sold out since early spring. The application for next year's festival is available on the FOO website.

WHAT ABOUT TICKETS? Again- there are NO TICKETS to the festival, but there are tickets to some of the special events. Those cannot be purchased, however, from scammers leaving comments about available tickets. They can ONLY be purchased through Eventbrite. There are still pre-sale tickets available for the Already Gone/So Dead live show, the presentation by local true crime author Rod Sadler, the Haunted Eaton County discussion with Afterlife Road, and the gallery reading with medium Exie Smith. Tickets to those shows can be purchased on the FOO website and nowhere else. There are a handful of tickets left to the paranormal investigation following the festival, which can be purchased HERE: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/399300678077, and to purchase tickets to watch Friday the 13th with the original Jason Voorhees, visit the box office at Eaton Theatre.

Again, beware of scammers- they're already starting to spam our posts. And if you have questions, ask them here and ask them now, not the day of the festival- there won't be anyone available online the day of the festival. We'll all be too busy FOOing.
