80's Prom Night with New Wave Nation at Louisville Eagles FOE #2374 on April 20, 2024 was incredible! This sold-out event was such a fun event with everyone dressing to impress in their 80's Prom night attire with everything from a balloon sculpture by Lift Up Balloons & Designs (www.liftupballoons.com) for a beautiful backdrop for Prom pictures to great food and drinks provided by the Louisville Eagles. I started working with bands in 1973 doing everything from being a roadie, ran sound, lights in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington State, New Mexico and Ohio for nearly 48 years. Helped start Sneak Productions with dear friend Eddie Richards which ran from 1975 - 1976 doing shows at the American Legion in Massillon, Ohio before graduating from Massillon in 1978 and then moving out West to work with some of the biggest bands in the business at the Whiskey, Troubadour, Golden Bear Club, The Dancing Waters Club, The Blue Lagoon Saloon, Palomino Club, the LA Forum, Universal Amphitheater, Greek Theater just to name a few before returning to Ohio after a death in the family and never returned to the West.

Tomorrow What's Up Ohio turns 13. It's been quite a journey the last 13 years. Last night was my 1401st show at the Harvest Saloon in Strongsville with our dear friend Tony Rio & Relentless. Neil Zaza and his band brought their astonishing show to the “Knight Stage” at the Akron Civic Theater on February 18th, 2023. No exaggeration: this show and the man himself Neil Zaza were simply phenomenal with their out of this world instrumental performance. Neil and his most dangerous band around played some of his ”standard” tunes as well as trying out new material for his upcoming season’s revamped One Dark Night... shows. Ohio-born and raised, Neil Zaza is a world renowned, melodic, instrumental guitarist. He creates intricately crafted rock ‘n’ roll that is technically sound, uniquely written, and ridiculously memorable. Nobody can do what he can with his instrument and his talent. It has made for multiple fan-favorite albums, international touring, room for new inspiration, and creative growth.

The ladies of “The Reflections” and their band brought their beautiful harmonies to the Akron Civic Theater Knight Stage December 18th, 2022 for their Joyeux Noël show “Sparkly Bows & Mistletoe”. This is one of the best holly jolly holiday family fun shows What’s Up Ohio has ever had the pleasure of seeing and photographed.
Seeing this show is definitely worth dashing through the snow to see!

A Maximo Holiday Jam at the Elm Inn!
It was a Maximo Jam December 14th, 2022. Every Wednesday the Elm Inn in Maximo (Alliance) lights up the stage with some of the best jammers in the area. If you want to show off your musical talent or just want to listen to some great music stop out every Wednesday to the Elm Inn. Backline is provided just bring your guitars or drumsticks and show off your talent.

Tony Rio & Relentless helped kick-in the holidays at the Red Dog Saloon in East Sparta on December 3rd, 2022. After a major mishap with the band's equipment trailer the good folks at the Red Dog joined together for a good ole redneck caravan of pickup trucks to help get the equipment to the saloon so the show could go on.
