Last Friday, Grace and Josh got the amazing opportunity to attend the Building Industry Association of Stark and East Central Ohio 2024 Golf Outing! ⛳️

Grace, our Marketing and HR Coordinator, volunteered with all of the lovely ladies at the check in table. She’s not a golfer, trust me. Might be good entertainment to watch though (🤣).

On the other hand, Josh, one of our Sales Representatives, got a great team together with some of our very good friends, and absolutely crushed it on the green!🏌🏻‍♂️

We would like to give a massive thank you to Joe, Darcie, and the rest of their team for putting together such a high class event. It was the most beautiful day spent with great colleagues and friends in our industry. 🤗

Today we celebrate one of our happiest, but also one of the saddest days. After 25 years at Tower, Brent is stepping out on his own. While we’re a little (a lot, actually 😅) sad to see him go, we cannot be more proud of him for following his dream.

We’re excited to see his business flourish and hopefully we’ll see him in the showroom a ton! His skillset is second to none. Be sure to check out Fimple’s Remodeling on Facebook! Brent already has some amazing projects in the works. 🛠️

Why do we suggest Dekton for projects like fireplace surrounds? 🤔

👉🏼 Dekton is rated to handle temperatures much higher than that of granite and everyday quartz. Quartz and granite can both take high heat, but Dekton takes it the extra mile with their more “in-depth” composition.

We also suggest Dekton for outdoor bar areas and other countertop surfaces as well. Anything that needs to be able to handle high heat! 🥵

Why are seams important in countertops?

👉🏼 Some slabs are fragile due to their large size! When they’re cut (such as an L shape), the weight is not evenly distributed so it can break during transport! Granite is one that is especially fragile due to being all natural material.

👉🏼 Our install crew (any install crew, really) have to be able to fit in the door and go around corners of the home. An open floor plan may help, but we plan to accommodate everyone here at Tower Countertops!

So, what can we do to make your countertops look absolutely seamless?

👍🏼We highly recommend using our state of the art Slab Smith. The Slab Smith takes professional pictures of your specific slab and shows you exactly where the seams will be. We send that info to you and wait for your approval before cutting! This way you can be sure everything flows correctly and the seams look perfecto on our end and your end.

👍🏼 We can order a specialty, color-matched epoxy! It camouflages the seams perfect. Check out the pictures below!

As you can see in this before and after photo, we feature a job that opted for our color match epoxy and a slab smith! Taken just minutes apart, you can see the seam practically disappear in this job and the veining doesn’t miss a beat.

Our shower pans are built to last. When testing them in our labs, our pans actually broke the MACHINE before the pan broke itself! The machine recorded a weight of 78,000 lbs of force being put on our pan and it hadn’t even cracked yet. That’s roughly six adult elephants (yes, 🐘) worth of weight! Isn’t that INSANE?!! 🤯
