I am passionate about training athletes and it is the best reward to watch them realize their progress when their performances improve (and wins increase🏆)! In designing this 3-month program specifically for fighters, I got to draw from my 17 years as a martial artist, my training as a NASM-certified MMA Conditioning Specialist, and my enthusiasm for the world of combat sports!
It drives me crazy to see so many would-be-great fighters fall short of their great potentials by following conditioning routines from “old school” coaches. The type of coaches who think the best way to train a fighter is to have them run miles and miles each week, gas out, lift super heavy, and tell you that you’re done once you are past the point of exhaustion. That method takes discipline & strength, sure, but what does it ACTUALLY do for your performance? Are you a better, faster, stronger fighter at the end of all that? Of course not! You weren’t fine-tuning and building the skills needed in the ring to beat your opponent, you were just exhausting your body and “working out” without a clear purpose.

Kismet offers boot camp classes and personal training that includes helping clients lose weight, increase strength, and improve performance so they can tackle the demands of daily life, athletic pursuits, and hobbies with ease. We utilize an evidence-based approach to create an individualized training plan that produces results. If you are trying to get back in shape or improve your performance in a sport, this is the place for you. You will learn all kinds of new exercises and drills that keep you motivated and test your physical limits.
Kismet Jujitsu focuses on fitness and practical techniques that draw on aiki jujitsu, small circle jujitsu, hapkido. We combine throws and takedowns, weapon disarms, joint manipulation and control techniques. These prepare students to utilize leverage rather than relying on strength alone. The goal of our martial arts program is to help students increase confidence and make them capable of using their body, mind, and emotions in practical self-defense situations. We aim to maintain an atmosphere of respect and camaraderie in all our classes.
ABOUT FOUNDER, BRITT JOHNSON:
Britt Johnson has been studying and training in Japanese martial arts for over eight years. Martial arts became a way of life as the hobby quickly turned into a lifelong pursuit. Britt couples the techniques of Japanese Jujitsu with the latest research-based training methods to lead students on a path to wellness, integrity, and practical skills.
Britt is a NASM certified personal trainer and works with clients to recognize and achieve their fitness goals. Britt will bridge your current ability with your ultimate goals by creating a personalized training program to help you succeed in a healthy and sustainable way.
