Jim Dukes is a native of Cary, North Carolina. He was the Artist in Residence at Tapp’s Arts Center in Columbia from July 2013 to July 2014. His background is in design/build engineering and always had an internal spark for photography. He sustained two closed head injuries as a private Explosive Ordinance Disposal contractor from 1992-1996. Jim was also a radiological emergency response team lead

Bullets and Bandaid's mission is to bring about social cohesion between veterans and civilians through a collaborative art exhibition.
This event November 19th 5-9 pm is the showcase for the original artworks created this year. Are you active duty or a vet? Do you know either one, if so come experience this powerful exhibit.
Join us for an evening of camaraderie, reflection, and appreciation. This is one stop on our tour of five cities around the Carolinas. The original artworks will be available in an online auction after the tour! Auction closes December 9th.
Support veterans, support local artists, and heal the community! If you’ve never served, this is a great opportunity to learn about real experiences from the men and women who lived them.

Are you moving? When’s the move? How are things coming at the new building? Is anything happening over there?
These are just some of the natural questions we’ve been getting about the Charlotte Art League move. This video gives you a snapshot into the construction progress and sneak peek into things to come. We will be dropping frequent updates now that people can really visualize the space. We’ll also update everyone on the surrounding development status making making the Trailhead District Charlotte‘s “gotta be here” destination!
