Ricky was the first to run down to altar in front of the California State Capitol during our 4 year anniversary. He broke down weeping and surrendered EVERYTHING to Jesus as I held onto him.

If we did all this effort, mobilization and financing for salvation of his eternal soul, it was worth it.

Tomorrow we release the most epic recap video to date. But after 250+ cities, millions gathered and hundreds of thousands surrendering to Jesus, a few lawsuits 😉 — it must FOREVER AND ALWAYS be about the one.

A little after the fact but thought I would share anyway. I was given such a special gift! A beautiful time at Marco Island for some much needed R&R after a long and intense campaign season. It was lovely to wake up everyday looking at the crystal blue water, watch dolphins and write til my heart was content. I’ll post more soon!

It’s been a wonderful birthday. Blessed, blessed, and more blessed by the sweetest friends, lots of love and all of your birthday wishes put a smile on my face throughout the day! Thank you. 🤗🎂 And to the anonymous person who had the most elegant flowers and cake delivered to my house this morning, well I don’t know what to say. That was so thoughtful and kind! I want to sincerely thank every single person who voted “Rivera Douthit for Lt. Governor of NC.” To each one who prayed me through. To the ones who cheered and stood by me, worked the polls tirelessly, gave, and believed in me, but most of all believed Jesus in me. Thank you for standing with me to dream things for a better North Carolina that others weren’t willing to dream.

I’m forever marked. I was stretched out of my comfort zone. I learned, grew, and if I’m honest, witnessed things I wish I hadn’t. On the flip side, I met so many incredible people who make up the heart and soul of this great state.

I did what God asked me to do. I ran…with truth, poise, courage, and integrity! And tried to take hope and the love of Jesus into every room. 🙌🏽🙏🏽🇺🇸 We obey but He’s in control of outcomes.

23,000+ people voted for what I truly believe is on God’s heart for NC. That gives me hope. THANK YOU! All of you. I will always remember your faces and the many conversations across the state. I’m forever changed by you. I heard you and I sure would love to be moving forward to carry out the things that were on our hearts.

Now to process what I’ve seen and get some rest with the Lord.

Rivera was honored to speak at Kingdom Full Tabernacle NC this past Sunday in Charlotte, NC. She shared about her journey of being obedient to the call, to run for office. The honor in the room was overwhelming. Jesus was in His rightful place and Minister Jalik Moore gave a timely word. His prayer over Rivera was powerful. So many beautiful souls there that afternoon. The pictures speak for themselves.

A lovely but rainy day in Pasquotank County at the polls. So many came out in the rain to meet the candidates.

As a reporter interviewed me he asked, “What motivated you to come to Pasquotank?”
My answer: “This is one of the most Northeastern counties in NC. It’s my understanding that many people here feel like people in government do not want to put forth the effort to visit them. I wanted them to know they are just as special and worth coming for as every other county in the state.”

The interactions with the folks of Pasquotank was certainly, for me, a highlight in this campaign.
