After my last video yesterday to was successful in getting a response by Treasurer Dolly Elizondo. I was encouraged to submit a formal request for the financial statements by her which is what I prompty did pursuant to 22.351 of the Texas Business Code. This is proof that by working together, we can start to enact change for the membership outside of closed doors, private meetings, or text messages. There is nothing special about what I aam doing - any member can do this - which is why I am excited to see the brewing interest in change from REALTORS of all levels of experience. Again, as your board member, you can expect more of this from me on an even more effective level, but until then here is to hoping for change now.

As I continue to move forward with my campaign for board of directors, I want to first thank everyone for their support, both publicly and privately, regarding my previous videos. In seeking to be a representative to the membership, I feel it is my duty to ask the questions many of us are wondering about, and doing so in a way that gets results.

My two point platform of inclusion and transparency are simple to understand, yet so powerful, and it is in exercising my second point - transparency - that I am humbly requesting of or anyone else capable to please make available to me our financial statements, especially the ones regarding the TLRP program. Now as a non profit, I feel access to this information regarding our dues and how they are spent is important.

So I have arranged for a licensed CPA who specializes in financial auditing to help me look into these statements to present in a manner digestible to us laymen. I’d like to assuage any feelings that this information is not up to s***f, as is my right as a member, so I can share my findings with the general members. I think accountability is important, so please, let me know when and where and how we can make this happen.

To the membership I want to say this - while it may seem alien to hear requests like this - these are your rights as a member when you are a part of an organization like this! For us, by us! I will not stop representing us in a respectful manner! Thank you and remember to vote!

Big update regarding my video commentary that went out yesterday regarding and the lack of representation of everyone who is running from an email they sent out. I sat for an hour and a half and discussed with them the feelings many of you members privately and publicy expressed - lack of informatiom, disclosure timing, and overall inclusion - along with my fears about what I feel is the erosion in the quality of MLS data.

It was an insightful conversation, and has given me much to think about in terms of the reasons as to why the association and it’s major players choose to act how they act. As a result I know I will be able to continue to learn and maneuver through these situations with tact and get the results for the members that we want.

To the members, this is a big win for us in regards to our collective power, and highlights the importance of utilizing social media as a connecting force to bring about change. I look forward to the rest of the election season, and ask for your vote this September. I am but a vessel and voice for you all, and will stop at nothing to bring about the much needed change this association requires.

With the General Membership meeting tomorrow I wanted to share some final thoughts and my campaign platform. As anyone in the industry knows, this has been a protracted period for many, which makes my decision to run for Board of Directors that much more important to me (and to you.)
