Ok so the new AC took a little longer to install but it’s finally done! We are just going to let it cool a little and we’ll be open at 630 today for dine in and we will start taking online orders for delivery and take out at 7pm. Thank you all for your patience and we are finally ready to go full on. We remodeled our kitchen slightly and we got a new ac! See you all at 630!!!

So our new ac instal got rescheduled for tomorrow, so we will be closed today. It’s 95 in here while we prep so we are done for the day. We will be ready for you all tomorrow!!

We are doing some upgrades to our kitchen and we are getting a new AC installed. We will be back and ready Wednesday from 5-9pm and this weekend we are extending our hours Friday and Saturday to 10pm. Every week we will add more hours!!!

I look forward to seeing all our warriors come dine in with us! We open 3-9pm today then we will be closed Monday and the rest of week we will be 3-9pm until our grand opening in a few weeks. Thank all of you for the support and crushing us our first 2 days open.

I just want to say thank you RGV for all the love and support the last 5.5 years. I will forever be grateful for my experience here and my ability to grow as a chef and person. At this time I have decided to not reopen in the RGV. This decision isn’t easy but I’m choosing a different path that has been opened up for me.

I will be in Austin Tx, and I will be serving food in as little as a few weeks. We will have a brand new page for this new venture as I will be starting with a food truck while we wait for our permanent home to be finished out and we will have our Japanese Whiskey Bar open as well. The website will be redesigned with all updates and current addresses and open times. We will only be using Instagram and Tic Toc for social media and our website as our main news source for all DWRS from here on out. This page will be deleted and we will not be on Facebook again.

I have a great team of valley natives that have paved this way for me and I’m grateful for those on my team getting me back to where my inspiration for this concept began and I brought that Austin experience and vibe I learned there to all my locations here in the RGV. Thank you all for the experience. I love you all.

A little lunch break for my team and I! They crushed it today! 900 ajitama, 350 lbs pork belly, 200lbs chicken, Tonkotsu broth, chicken broth, plus all our marinades and brines. Very grateful for this crew. We will be ready to open tomorrow at 3pm!!

The storm Friday night put us out of business this whole weekend. I had prepped a lot getting ready for the busy Comic-Con weekend just to end up throwing it all away. We lost everything. We finally got power tonight at about 7pm and I’ve been busting ass throwing the last of our stuff out and clean and setting up for prep again. I’m just finished. We have so much work ahead of us to try and open by noon Wednesday. Food is cooking again and things are marinading. We can’t wait to reopen and serve you again. I’ll be working with my team the next 36-48 hours straight to make sure we are ready! I hope everyone has power back and ready to get on with the week!
