We’re proud to help facilitate the 46th Annual St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament on October 9th at Wicomico Shores Golf Course. We are looking to have 25-30 teams of 4.

This year, we're thrilled to introduce a Sip & Swing event just for the ladies who want to join the fun without hitting the links. Enjoy a golf lesson, wine, appetizers, wreath making, & join the golfers for a catered lunch after the tournament! There are 30 slots available for the Sip & Swing event! Hey there! It’s been a while since we’ve checked in on socials! We sure have been busy with our new builds and renovations! We wanted to check in for all those who are new here! We are Quintin & Amanda Wood, the faces behind Wood Construction. Follow along to see pictures of our current projects!

Meet Friskey. 2 yr old black lab. She is looking for a new 🏠Owners are moving and can’t take her with them due to rental agreement not allowing pets. She is not spayed as of now. She is not current on her shots. She has been raised with children. She prefers outdoor living but with time I believe she would like to live indoors. If interested please message us.

Here at Wood Construction, LLC we understand there's different strokes for different folks. So, when it comes to "colored" interior doors, there's mixed reviews. We LOVE the Black doors/trim that is trending in a lot of farmhouse themed homes and these Blue (Naval, actually) doors are no exception!!! They're still owed a finishing coat, but I love how they turned out! What do you think? Take it or leave it?

Hey FB – Just saying “helllooo” as we haven’t checked in on the socials for a while!!! Not on purpose, of course, just busy wrestling with the weather that has wreaked havoc on our build schedules, spending time with some great people during our New Construction Seminar earlier this month (More on this later) and just absolutely enthralled in life!! - You know everyone can certainly relate to that last bit! 🤪

So, what have we been doing during our time away? We completed the Old Horse Landing Build (Before & After Picture) complete with a glowing review (so humbling), finished a 2 bedroom/1 bath basement, kicked off a 2nd finished basement project and started 2 new custom builds in Hollywood. ALL proceeds will benefit Second Hope Rescue. Second Hope is Southern Maryland’s largest privately funded animal rescue; operates entirely on donations and grants.

1. Established in 2006 with the mission to give “Second Hope” to hard-to-place animals (due to breed or age) that are searching for their forever homes.
2. Southern Maryland’s largest privately funded animal rescue; operates entirely on donations and grants but receives no tax money.
3. Their group cares for an average of 60 dogs and 20 cats at any given time.

Well, to help celebrate the St. Mary's County Chamber of Commerce 50th Anniversary and to give back to our local charities, the Chamber is hosting a Kentucky Derby Fundraiser in May. Leading up to this shindig, Wood Construction is selling the trinkets for Second Hope organization in which Wood Construction will present the Rescue with the proceeds at the Kentucky Derby Fundraiser event.

Review Time From the Clarke Family Build!!! We're not going to lie; this one caught us in our feels....

Everyone told me how hard building a house is. How I was going to be so stressed and that it was a true test to a marriage. I have to say that in our experience they were all wrong.
From day one Quintin and Amanda were both so easy to work with. They took real time to listen to our needs and gave us suggestions on a few things that made our home work better for us. Once building began the amount of time and work they dedicated to the job was impressive! Communication was also excellent throughout the entire process! They were there with any question we had, it felt good to have trust in our builder. They are both good people who were there every day, ensuring everything went smoothly. Both my husband and myself were very happy with the quality of their work and the attention to detail. It feels good to know we now have a home that was built so well.
Hopefully this is our forever home, but if for any reason we need to build again in the future, Wood Construction will be our first call.
