Wedding Tip Wednesday: Flowers!
Seriously one of my favorite parts of wedding planning is choosing what kind of flowers you use! From fabric to artificial, a florist to wildflowers, just so many options! My 2024 brides have been using variations of pink and white flowers and it’s been beautiful to see!
As with all parts of planning: do your research, find what you want and works in your budget and make it happen 🥰🖤

I’ve had a lot of new followers recently and always love sharing about who I am and why I have this business!
So HI! I’m Emily! When I’m not working a wedding, I’m an elementary instructional specialist, Mama of 2 boys, and married to my best friend! We’re always busy with work, life, football among everything else.
I started EWE in 2020 when my family struggled to find an affordable wedding officiant. On top of the pandemic, rates were through the roof. So I got ordained and started EWE. At first it was to help people who wanted to be married but costs was in the way, then it grew into day of coordinating. While we still perform officiating services, we also offer Month of and rehearsal/day of services too 🥰
Just need someone to set things up and help a reception? I do that too!
While the extra $$ is nice for my family, my goal with EWE is to fit into any budget, no matter how big or small your budget is. I always tell my brides, while I want to be in your budget, my part should only be a small portion of your day.

One of the biggest pieces to your wedding day will be your ceremony. Whether you decide to do simple vows, a little bit longer, add in a sand ceremony or knot tying or have a religious ceremony/mass, there are many variations to what your ceremony can look like.
When planning this out, make sure you and your partner stick to what you want. Whether you want to add religion into your ceremony, what kinds of additional things you want or people you want involved. You’re ceremony is all yours, so cherish that time of celebrating and being together in front of your loved ones 🖤

Are they worth it? Do people notice?
My number 1 advice: Do what you can afford! If you want to do one, awesome! There are so many options and ways to go about it!
If you don’t, then don’t!
I’ve had brides do Brownies, Macaroons, Ferreir Roche chocolate, extended dessert and candy bars and my recent favorite- Lottery tickets!

One of the greatest! She is able to direct you on what exactly to do and does amazing work (I used her for my maternity shots)

The Moleski’s had the most amazing day! From a sunny day to bubbles and an amazing reception, it was a stunning day! The love for this couple was felt throughout. It was also so great to meet so many people who were new to SOMD and Maryland Crab Cakes 🦀

Today feels like a dream! Talking to my many brides and their families this morning & a coworker who said “I hope it’s ok, I’ve been telling people you’re my coordinator already” I feel so humbled that 11 couples have entrusted me for their dream days to be executed seamlessly! If you have friends or family getting married and need an officiant or coordinator, I’m working to take 4 more weddings this year!

What was meant to be a welcome sign for an outdoor ceremony turned into a selfie station and I WAS HERE FOR IT!!
Why not make a selfie station for guests to use!! Such a neat way to still use the mirror!

I love when Brides leave me their inspiration photos and then I can make magic from there!! We used Eucalyptus for the greenery and added baby’s breath and large&small pink roses around the top! The bottom of the table was the bridesmaids bouquets to get them out of the way! A huge part of what I do in my coordinating is turning dreams and inspiration into reality!

What an amazing wedding yesterday was!!! One of my favorite parts of this business is getting to see old friends and making new ones and that’s exactly what yesterday became!

Since I have some new followers, I thought I’d reintroduce myself!
My name is Emily Gayo and I’m the mastermind behind EWE! What started as a fun hobby with family weddings to struggling to find affordable vendors during the pandemic for my family, I decided to start EWE to offer affordable officiant services. I decided to venture into Day of Coordinating in 2022 and haven’t looked back!
If I’m not busy with EWE, I am a public school teacher in St Marys County and on the Football fields chasing my boys who are 12 and 1 🖤
