Getting materials ready over here for Thursday’s fall candle making workshop at ☺️ It feels extra special because this is the first in a new series of workshops Sarah is hosting at The Ames. It’s a gorgeous studio and place for folks to gather, and on Thursday evening it will be filled with the scent of chai spice! Happy spring equinox! 🌞🌱 The day of equal darkness and light, and the season of new life, unfurling, and renewal. We’ve got our Cold Spring Road scent burning today as we think ahead to the next few months - for both the garden and the brand.

We’re working on some exciting new things that we’ll be rolling out later this spring, and we can’t wait to share them with you! In the meantime, we hope you find a moment today to celebrate the promise and beauty of the new season.

The place behind the scent: Mt.Tamalpais. We visited two weeks ago, and it’s just as regal as I remember. The familiar winding roads, switchback trails, redwoods, and eucalyptus were a warm welcome back. Showing my kids what inspired this scent was really special. We rode the mountain’s Panoramic Highway with the car windows down, the aerosolized eucalyptus filling our noses and lungs. Then we returned to our rental neighborhood in Marin and studied the other two parts of this scent, lemon and rosemary, in our host’s front gardens. It was a full-circle field trip that I’ll never forget. 🌲🍋🌿💛💚

It’s official - Aria Botanicals Workshops are back! 🎉 {link in bio} We couldn’t be more delighted to be doing our first workshop since February of 2020! 🥳 Our friends at in Newburyport have the perfect space, community, and vibes to host this fun fall event. On Sunday, 10/23 from 11-1pm I’ll guide you step by step through the candle making process, and you’ll bring home a full size seasonally scented candle in a kiln-fired ceramic vessel, hand-poured by you! While it’s sea of clouds outside this morning, it feels like a beautiful spring day in here, thanks to our Cold Spring Road scent! It’s fragranced with essential oils of geranium, lavender, and ylang ylang. 🌼

Crisp and floral, this scent retells a visit to a magnificent garden of rare plants, where perfumed botanicals bloom in a verdant oasis nestled between the Santa Ynez mountains and the Pacific coast.

Bringing some scented memories to our kitchen today.

Candle burning weather is here! In addition to a quality candle, here’s a few other accoutrements we find essential to staying cozy and calm this time of year:
