Only by reflecting upon the past can we glean insights into our strengths and weaknesses and chart a course forward for a brighter tomorrow.
As you gaze back upon the year that was, pause to celebrate your successes, and savor the sweet nectar of your triumphs. But also, take a moment to explore the lessons that emerged from moments of hardship and setbacks. By doing so, you may gain a deeper understanding of how to move forward with greater clarity and purpose.
Consider the choices that led you down your path, and the outcomes that followed. Were there moments when your resources could have been better utilized? What actions can you take to ensure a more fruitful future? By embracing the wisdom of your experiences, you can avoid repeating past mistakes and build upon the progress you've made.
Yet, the journey of reflection can be incomplete without the right tools to guide your introspection. Therefore, I offer you prompts to ignite the flames of memory and illuminate the path to your future.

As we set sail on this wondrous journey, let us bask in the liberty to share our thoughts with open hearts or hold them close in the depths of our souls.

Introducing: “Happy little Bob”

I decided to triple challenge myself with this little guy by following a Bob Ross video using oil paints on a tiny canvas!

For those of you who know my art, you know acrylics and abstract is where my heart lies… there are many tiny canvases that need to be painted over now 😅

Drawing isn’t something I normally do, but I’ve been having a lot of fun pulling inspiration off Pinterest and putting my own spin on it. Trying to convince myself that every line doesn’t need to be perfect and things won’t always come out the way I picture them has been a real challenge, but I’m getting better each time ☺️

GALA had a busy year and we're excited to present our last show of 2022! We hope you will enjoy this exhibit from our members and that you're taken on a journey just like we were.

Don't miss our Opening Reception on Friday, November 11th from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. Live entertainment will be provided by Boogie Bros - a funk/hop/rock band from the North Shore. Performing will be Joe Skahan (guitar, vocals) Joe Cataldo (percussion and vocals) Mike Cassetta (bass) playing some fun originals and covers.

We are asking attending guests (not artists) for a suggested donation of $5 if they are able. These funds help keep our ALL-volunteer organization going! GALA was founded on the premise of bringing community together to enjoy art and to support creatives in Lynn and beyond. Our sharing table has become an important piece of that mission, allowing the community to come together over shared food and drink.

Tiny little mushrooms 🍄 these babes are made fully out of hot glue sticks that I found under my couch In my studio 😂 they’re going to make a great addition to my sculpture I will be submitting into the Dreams show 🥰

Just before painting this in 2019 I was harassed by the Cole sisters to submit my very first painting to (thank you )

I never thought my work was good enough to be in a gallery... however I did know that “one day” it would be, ONE day I would “be ready” to have my own solo show, ONE day I would “be ready” have my own website, ONE day I would “be ready” have a tent at a craft fair....

I realized this past year that you’re never going to “be ready” for anything unless you actually go out and do it. And unfortunately... it’s probably never going to go as planned... but that doesn’t matter, it’s still going to be amazing.

June 30th I sat on the floor of the gallery putting the wires on my canvases that should have been there a week prior. (Fun fact, some of them never got wired 😬) Half way through the day I looked up from the floor at the work having on the walls... MY work on the walls and I said to myself... bitch... you did it. A very short two weeks after closing that show I set up for my very first craft fair.

Things don’t always go as planned and sometimes the journey is longer than expected. But, you’ll always end up where you should be.

I’ve officially decided to take this babe off the market she’s followed me for a few years now and after this past month of it missing from my bedroom I realized how happy I was that it hasn’t sold.

Took myself completely out of my comfort zone today. I’ve been dabbling in some drawing lately and with the theme of the next art show being based on landscapes, ocean scapes and city scapes I decided to venture out and draw some of my favorite spots using colored pencils !

Definitely disproportioned and missing boats but I gotta say… it’s not terrible considering I left my eraser at home 🤦🏻‍♀️☺️

It’s my last Saturday for my pop up here ! It’s been such a wonderful experience and I’m so thankful for those of you who have already come by!

I’ll be here until 1pm and then I will be re-opening again 4-8pm tonight ☺️

Lately I’ve been stepping away from abstract painting and practicing drawing in order to incorporate more realism in some of my art. I would love to hear any tips and tricks you have so come on over today ☺️

When I go out into nature, I don’t just see nature… I see magic. For a while now, I’ve been trying to figure out a way to share with the world the magic I see on a daily basis.

Last night I started playing around with one of my pictures to do just that. I’m still learning this app as well as the process of digital art however, i’m pleased with the results and and excited to see these skills improve each day. ☺️
