Reminder: next paint out is third Saturday of the month so 7/20. Next paint out will be on LBI on the beach. I will post where exactly when we are closer. Come paint the waves, beach, dune grass, kids playing, the clouds…..

Here is a photdump from Walnford!

We had a great time painting last Saturday and Historic Walnford! Such a beautiful place. I’ll attach a separate post with some pics if you’d like to paint some. Come join us next time! Attached are an oil painting by myself and one by Frank. I decided to wipe mine out at home and start over. Sometimes it flows and sometimes not! I love plein air because it’s a challenge with the changing light, a challenge to narrow down what’s in scope of your painting BUT I love how you can see true subtle colors that a photo destroys and to see true values. Shadows always come out too dark in a photo. I also love being in nature and painting! We beat the heat and started early. There was also a car show and what cool old cars! I plan to paint one.

Well it looks like rain is expected again this Saturday so a paint out will not work. Maybe it will change so I will keep an eye on it! I went out in the drizzle last month. No other takers but I don’t blame you. 😉 Here are some pics of the scene that attracted me and the painting. It was a challenge to paint with zero sun, but challenges are good! I ended up altering it when I returned home to add color and change things up a bit. The colors were there I just pushed them to match the mood….

Hello! The 3rd Saturday of the month is this Saturday and the painting location will be at the Pinelands Preservation Alliance in Southampton NJ. Come paint from 9-11am. If you are new at painting and want to just come and watch and learn a little, I am happy to show you. Dont feel you have to be an experienced painter! If you would like suggestions of what you would need to paint with a certain medium I can make suggestions. I am thinking there might be some more greenery and blooms since I took these pics 2 weeks ago. Let me know in comments if you plan to come!

Hi there! I’m forming a group that will meet once a month (3rd sat of the month)in the morning (9-11a) to plein air paint, weather permitting. Then meet at a local coffee shop. Make some new friends and talk art. What could be better! For art or plein air newbies, feel free to come watch or ask questions. ❤️
