If you are receiving ads or
Promotions in your mailbox for 20 min workouts 2x per week its not going to work. Its important for seniors to do weight bearing and resistance weight training 3 to 6 days per week. You can get some benefit with 2 days but not enough to make significant changes.
You must workout or do activity 3 to 6 days per week for 30 to 60 min. any less is not enough. Dont believe the junk science. I have 37 years of experience and multiple degrees and these articles and research to back it up

I try to warn my clients all the time of the dangers of fast food and take out. This man won an Oscar for his documentary where he only ate McDonalds for 30 days. He got so unhealthy the Doctors told him he took years off of his life just from the 30 days of eating McDonalds. Well he just died young from Cancer. Stop taking your kids to fast food and you stop eating it ASAP.
Morgan Spurlock, documentary filmmaker behind 'Super Size Me,' dies at 53 The documentary about a 30-day McDonald's diet made $22 million, earned an Oscar nomination and put Spurlock on the map. He later retreated from Hollywood after admitting to sexual misconduct.

A patient recently presented to my office with lower back pain noted during kettle bell swings. She didn’t recall a specific injury and reported that the pain seemed to be gradually worsening.
Utilizing NeuroKinetic Therapy® (NKT), I cleared out a relationship between her abdominals and her lower back as well as her hip flexors and quadratus lumborum (QL). On the second visit, I cleared a relationship between her tensor fascia latae (TFL) and her gluteus maximus. While she noted some improvement, she still reported pain during her kettle bell swings.
On her third visit, I decided to watch her perform a kettle bell swing. While her form looked solid, I noticed that her neck was a little too far forward. While she reported no neck pain, she did note a lot of neck tightness. Utilizing NKT, I found a relationship between her overactive suboccipital muscles and underactive neck flexors.
I cleared out that pattern utilizing soft tissue treatment and a simple neck flexor activation exercise. In addition, we corrected her neck positioning during the swing. On her follow up visit, she reported absolutely no back pain when performing her swing!
I’ll be teaching a Level 1 in Amsterdam in June, Atlanta in September, Washington DC in October, and the Philadelphia area in November. Check out https://neurokinetictherapy.com/upcoming-seminars/ for more information or to register.

What is a Concierge Pharmacist?
With pharmacists dispensing over 4 billion prescriptions each year in the U.S. no wonder patients feel confused and pharmacists (inundated with metrics) lack time for patient care and counseling. Our aim at the Concierge Pharmacist: To strengthen the patient-pharmacist relationship by ensuring you receive optimal drug therapy, get the time and care you deserve, and avoid long lines or hold time. The result: less frustration and more clarity on your medication regime to avoid side effects from medicines. Also, you save money.
Through the concierge pharmacy model, pharmacists are able to provide individualized consultation and care, which can involve coordinating with other healthcare providers, and developing personalized plans to address each patient's unique needs

Evidence mounts on the benefits of strength training
A recent meta-analysis found that people who do muscle-strengthening workouts are less likely to die prematurely than those who don’t, adding to previous evidence that strength training has long-term health benefits.
The study found that just 30 to 60 minutes a week of strength training may be enough. Those who worked out for this duration had a 10% to 20% lower risk of dying during the study period from all causes, and from cancer and heart disease specifically, compared to those who did no strength training. The benefits plateaued after one hour, and decreased after two hours.
U.S. exercise guidelines recommend that adults do strength training for all major muscle groups twice a week. This can be accomplished through a variety of workouts, including weightlifting, exercises like push-ups and sit-ups, and some types of yoga.
The current guidelines don’t specify how long muscle-strengthening workouts should be, but more research is needed before revising the guidelines to include time-specific goals, said I-Min Lee, professor of epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, in a March 14, 2022 Everyday Health article. However, Lee, who was not involved with the new study, added that two 30-minute strength workouts per week would fit the guidelines if all major muscle groups were targeted.
She explained that muscle-strengthening exercises are beneficial because they lead to better physical functioning. “Such exercises also improve glucose metabolism, enhance maintenance of healthy body weight, and help improve cardiovascular risk factors such as blood pressure,” she said. “All these factors lead to lower risks of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes, which lowers mortality risk.”
