Casey is currently interning at VCS Salonandspa! You will be seeing her with me all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is currently at the Medina County Career Center in the Cosmetology program. She will be a senior this fall and is working on getting her hours to become a hairstylist herself!🥰

Since I am now a Master Stylist I will be slowly incorporating an associate! At VCS we have an Associate Program through Summit Salon! I was in this program when I first started training 3 years ago after I got licensed with Kristi Weber🩷 The associate program is a hands-on experience that provides training in the areas of technical skills, guest handling, and business development. Associates work with a dedicated service provider one on one to grow into a skilled technician. As a salon, this provides an environment for growth, learning, and support. Every associate graduates from this program with a seamless transition from associate to stylist with the skills necessary for success in the hair industry!! I can vouch for this as this has helped me tremendously in my career🥰

Casey will eventually be shampooing (with an amazing scalp massage!!), styling, mixing color, giving hand and arm massages and more! After Casey is done interning this summer she will have the choice of becoming my part time associate. She is doing such an amazing job and is very motivated to learn as much as possible behind the chair with me!🩷🩷 Ive only been working with her since after Memorial Day but shes doing an excellent job and fits right in! Let’s welcome her to our amazing team and taking on this amazing opportunity to grow!

Her favorite seasons are summer and fall and her favorite holiday is Halloween. She loves all things pink and glittery, especially hello kitty. She has a pet bird named Skittles and her favorite part about the industry is making people happy and confident. Her favorite services are vivids, toning, and money pieces!

I am officially a Level 4 Master Stylist at VCS Salonandspa!🥹🥳

I started doing hair when I was a junior in high school. I didn’t have many friends and my boyfriend was graduating when I was a sophomore so I decided to go to the Medina County Career Center for cosmetology. I actually didn’t like hair at all and didn’t even know how to do my own but makeup was involved and that was my passion at the time. Hair was something that didn’t click with me at all at first. COVID came and in mid March 2020 and we all went online. I started to watch hair videos for hours towards my cosmetology license and discovered that hair actually seems to be very fun…especially haircolor.

I interned that summer and wasn’t crazy about the salon I was at, so I left to where I currently am now (VCS Salon and Spa) and I fell in love. I started early 2021 and I helped clean around the salon and do laundry. When I graduated May 2021 I became an associate and in June 2022 I became a Level 1 stylist. Fast forward now May 2024 and now I am a Level 4 Master Stylist!!🥳

I love my clients so much and I’m so happy I discovered my love of hair🥰 Never in a million years would I have thought this would be my career. I was never a social person but having one on one time and making people feel good about themselves while being creative means so much to me. I’m so happy with how things have turned out and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Thank you to my amazing clientele for trusting me with their hair. Thank you for coaching me and motivating me. The shy, quiet teenage girl in me is beaming with joy and has been fulfilled🥹 I’ve grown into myself and gotten out of my comfort zone through this career. I truly can’t describe it in words what this journey has done for me🫶🏻

Because I am leveling up, my prices will be slightly increasing and I will be having an associate working under me. If you have a reservation currently scheduled under Level 3 I will be honoring my previous pricing and then it will increase for the future reservation after that😊

Sometimes it takes a few sessions to achieve your hair goals while keeping your hair healthy😉❤️

Here’s the stylist break down on this fun project:

Rita wanted to embrace her natural gray and knew it was going to be a process. Only 2 sessions until we could achieve her goals!!😍 That’s amazing! Especially because she was using at home box color and bleach (no judgement girl!! A lot of us have been there!!)

The first time she came in I platinum carded her. I had a feeling she wasn’t going to lift perfect the first time and for her next appointment it would’ve taken me a long time to try and pick out every prelightened piece. After toning she ended up being a ashy level 7. Beautiful but not our ultimate goal!

The second session I followed her natural hair color by putting in babylights and toning the rest of the hair in between with her natural level 6 ash hair. This time she lifted perfectly! Level 9/10 yellow. I pretoned, rinsed, then toned with her silver toner. Stunning results today!!🔥

❤️To keep her hair at the best health possible and prolong her color she took home Pureology’s Hydrate shampoo, conditioner and 21 spray paired with Redken’s Acid Bond leave in.

Amazing transformation on my guest Gabrielle😍

Gabrielle came in for her first appointment back in December not knowing what to do with her hair and was up for suggestions. I decided on making her a fresh coppery redhead and cut short layers as well as a good amount of her length off. Embrace your natural🩶

A couple of months ago Laurie was thinking about going natural. She told me she’s tried of covering her grays and asked me what the process of going natural would be like. Not too soon after she reached out and we booked her the appointment!

Today I finally got to start the process of helping her fully grow her gray out😍 This process took 4.5 hours…and it was worth it! I heavy highlighted, lowlighted, cut, and toned her. She looks so gorgeous with her new hair🫶🏻
