Tulsa Nationals
The competition at this level is exciting to watch. 47 States represented. 2,250 kids all fighting for a chance to get on the podium.

Top 100 Memphis Tournament 

The 6 kids we took to this tournament wrestled extremely well. We had one 1st 🥇 placer Oliver Burnett, and three 2nd placers Daylen Davis, Brenden Jenkins, Isaiah Williams. Keep up the hard work!

Congratulations to everyone that participated. Cougar Wrestling Club came home with two all American wrestlers. Daylen Davis second place.

We are extremely proud of Cougar Club wrestling at the middle school championship today! Cougars took fourth place out of 11 teams that were there. Everyone that stepped on the mat today did an outstanding job. Cougar pride!!!

Top 100 Gatlinburg
Today’s been a very challenging day with such new talent. Carter started off this morning, good wrestling did not give up a pin. afternoon session, Bryson, Brandon, Bruce, and Daylen. Everyone wrestled hard and found out where their mistakes are. Definitely an eye opener for a few. Brenden bringing home fifth place. Daylen is bringing home first place. Awesome job Cougar Club!

Congratulations to all of our wrestlers for completing another season! It was a big learning experience for everyone, even us coaches.

I’m post this event flyer to advertise the Regional Tournament we’ll be attending. The idea is everyone who is a part of our club and is available to go will be registered. So it doesn’t matter if this is your first year or you’ve been wrestling for years. If you want to go, we’ll make sure you’re registered. We just need to know ASAP if you plan on participating.

The part of the flyer I couldn’t capture said the following:

“State Tournament: The state tournament will be Saturday, March 4th for Tots, Bantam, Midget, Juniors, and Girls while the Middle School division is moved to Sunday, March 5th. Times and additional information can be found on Trackwrestling”

You have to place in the top 4 in order to move on to the State Tournament. Best of luck to all of our guys and girls!

 Definitely an eye-opener for a lot of wrestlers today. We learned that we have to have our fundamentals together. We all need to be at practice next week with a different mindset. Awesome job to those who saw their mistakes today. Let’s go fix those problems and get on the podium. Go cougars!!!

Afternoon Cougar family! The 22/23 wrestling season has started off terrifically. The new group of guys that just came into the club have went pound for pound against their opponent and gained a spot on the podium.  This year we have more beginners than ever and still excepting newcomers. If we are here with three weeks of training, just imagine what we can do in six weeks. Keep it up guys!!!
