In partnership with other organizations around the state, UAMS-RED launched a survey in May to better understand early educators’ preferences around training:
1. How do they prefer to attend training (in-person, live online, or pre-recorded online) and why?
2. What training content do they want the most?
3. Are there tech skill or access barriers that need to be addressed to help ECEs take full advantage of online professional development?
Watch for the first half of those finding to be published soon! Whether you’re an organization developing training for early educators, a program administrator, or are interested in early education from a policy level, this report will provide valuable information you can act on moving forward

Babies need an accurate census! Encourage families to complete their census. Instructions have already been sent to each house in the mail. Let's do it! Here's some key information to share:
The Census helps decide how much money your community will get for schools, child care and early learning, health insurance and medical care, early intervention and home visiting programs, food assistance, foster care, housing assistance, and public transport. EVERYONE COUNTS. Count ALL kids living at your address. Don’t forget to include babies (born by April 1, 2020), nieces, nephews, grandchildren, foster children, and people not related to you (like a friend and his/her child). COUNT everyone at your address!
Did you know...the 2020 Census will NOT ask if you are a U.S. citizen. You don’t need to worry about immigration status, when you fill out the Census. By law, the U.S. Census Bureau must keep all of your information confidential for 72 years. The Census isn’t allowed to share your information with anyone—including other government agencies.
