Jackson robotics team headed to state championship A Jackson, Mississippi, robotics team is headed to Ole Miss to compete in the state championship.

Get ready for Jeghetto's Puppet Invasion coming on March 18. There will be a puppet parade on Beale Street at 11 AM with the Lucky 7 Brass Band. Jeghetto will perform puppet shows at Fourth Bluff Park at 1 PM and 3 PM.

There is also a puppet workshop the week of March 13-17. Go to memphislibrary.org for more information about registration.

March is starting out strong at the Juice Plus+ Technical Training Center Culinary Arts program!

Trainees from Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, MLK high school, Memphis Business Academy, Trezevant High School, Sheffield High School, Raleigh-Egypt High School, Westwood High School, and our evening Garden to Groceries trainees all made better choices in both their cooking and lifestyles by learning healthier, whole foods don't all taste like dirt! Many students stepped out of their comfort zones to try new things, and we are ALL about food education!

Students broadened their palates with homemade Crab Cakes with buttermilk remoulade sauce, Chicken Katsu (panko-breaded chicken cutlet) with Japanese curry and rice, make-your-own sauce and rub Chicken Wings, Fajita Chicken and Veggie tacos, homemade fruit smoothies, and more!

An all-Black collegiate swimming and diving team from Howard University won its first conference championship over the weekend, making history during Black History Month.

Memphis author sheds light on mental health among men through own personal stories

Lucy J's is baking with a mission! Partnering with the Dorothy Day House in Memphis, TN, the bakery intentionally hires parents who are or have transitioned out of a period of homelessness. The delicious breads, croissants, cookies, and special event cakes we enjoy also make a difference for families in our community.

We are just 3 weeks from our popular Five Fridays of Jazz series. EKPE and the African Jazz Ensemble kick off our series. This year we will be able to accommodate even more people after having the lobby of the Benjamin L. Hooks Central upgraded, which translates to more room, more seats, and hopefully more jazz enthusiasts.

: Tulips are blooming at the Garden! Keep an eye out during your next trip to the Garden while we watch these spring bulbs pop up.

The Garden is open daily from 9 am-4:30 pm.
