Pro Tip Tuesday! It's easy to forget but ICE is an essential part of your event! You never want to run out of ice, so the rule of thumb is .5lb ice per person. If your event is outside in the hot summer months, think about 1lb per person. You will need the ice for cocktails/drinks AND to ice down beer/wine/champagne. Also, all venue ice machines are NOT created equal. It may produce adequate ice for a 100 person event for 3 hours but not 400 person event for 4 hours! Ask or do a site visit if you're not familiar with the venue.
Industry friends, don't get caught slipping! Having to buy ice from the gas station is annoying & can blow your budget. Be prepared!
Need a quick, self serve coffee setup at your next corporate event? Applesauce Bartending, Inc is able to provide coffee setups to accommodate 25 or 2500!
Pro Tip: Your bars should be functional as to not slow down speed off service. Also, leave some room to actually serve the drinks! Sometimes, less is more!

Adequate staffing at the bar is important to the success of the event! When you think about staffing, it's more than just serving cocktails, beer, & wine. You have load in, setup, & breakdown/cleanup. You need people to help make those processes run smoothly! Will the event have glassware? You need people to clear the glassware!
Fellow bartenders, stop trying to work 100 person event with full bars by yourself! Get some help! Slow service equals slow money! Plus, it's not fair to clients and their guests.

Just realizing that when Applesauce Bartending, Inc provided bar service for the season 3 premiere party of Young Rock in 2022, that we took a picture with the actor who played the father on the show and that is the same person who plays Benji on Divorce in the Black! No wonder he looked familiar! Lol!

Pro Tip #1: Make sure your bar headquarters is neat & organized! This helps you to save money by not buying supplies because you can't find something. Also, it helps you to prepare for events faster & allows your staff to help load up for events too!
Pro Tip #2: Hire an event facilitator who will do this for you & that will lead others to help! 😂
