Our auction will be held online again - so, all bidding on silent auction items will be conducted by mobile phone. All Live Auction bidding will be held in person at the Appreciation Reception & Live Auction on Wednesday, November 6th.

We are pleased to announce that a conference room at the AALAS National headquarters has been named in honor of the late William "Bill" and Millicent Gay, thanks to their extraordinary generosity.
We express our deepest gratitude to William "Bill" & Millicent Gay for their thoughtful bequest to the AALAS Foundation. Their generous gift, included in their Will, not only supports our mission, but, also significantly advances our work, creating a timeless legacy within the AALAS Foundation.
The conference room naming ceremony was held on Friday, June 21, 2024. Members of the AALAS Foundation Board of Directors and AALAS Executive Committee gathered for the unveiling of the new conference room signage and dedication ceremony.
We are proud to also include William "Bill" Gay, past AALAS National President, on our virtual Memorial Wall of Honor. His memory, as well as that of his wife, Millicent, will forever be cherished within the AALAS community. James Brennan, along with other members of the Office of the Vice President for Research at UConn participated in the celebration of Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) on April 18th.
The Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee and Animal Care Services joined them in hosting a booth on the UConn campus to inform students and staff about the important role of quality animal care and use in biomedical research.
Their outreach efforts were recognized and promoted in the UConn news! (see link to article below).
We were happy to have supported this event by providing educational resource materials for distribution to the students and staff who visited their booth. Kudos to James Brennan and all members of the UConn BRAD celebration team!

Nebraska AALAS Branch members recently participated in the Nebraska Science Festival public expo - distributing materials and talking to the 742 people who attended this event about the important role of animals in research.
We were happy to support the NE AALAS Branch by providing free outreach materials.
