Dazzle Dance
Creativity abounds when we move our bodies to the beat! This summer, under the direction of Ms. Toni at Dazzle, a dance program designed for early childhood, some of our students put on their dancing shoes. Children learned how to plié and chassé into fun. Check out some of their moves! A special thanks to The Urban Child Institute which made this opportunity possible.

While I flew nonstop, I had to pick up my suitcase at the Memphis airport before arriving at Porter-Leath. My friends here operate the local affiliate of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library alongside Governor's Early Literacy Foundation. 2024 Juneteenth
Happy #Juneteenth from Porter-Leath! June 19th, also recognized as Freedom Day, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It has been celebrated by African Americans since the 1800s. President Biden signed legislation in 2021 that made Juneteenth a federal holiday.
