BIG thanks to Aliza Moran, After School Program Coordinator at Hillcrest High School for having us out yesterday evening to facilitate a Know Your Rights Theatre Workshop to help better prepare students to desecalate conflict during encounters with police, while protecting their constitutional rights in the process! MSPJC staff and volunteers have conducted these workshops with over 3,000 participants across Memphis! We do these workshops for FREE, and supplement the workshop material by providing each participant with a Know Your Rights Handbook to take home and share with their family and friends. This work doesn't pay for itself though... You can help us continue to equip our young people with tools that prepare them for encounters with law enforcement by making a generous gift to MSPJC.
