Feel like your healing is going bassackwards??

This is TOTALLY normal!

When we “heal”, the things we felt comfortable with fade and we start having new experiences, reactions, and interactions.

This can be SO uncomfortable! I don’t like to label it “good” or “bad” it just IS. The discomfort comes from it being a new experience.

This means our body might have its own reaction and feel like it’s safe to bring out toxins or feel things that have laid dormant… maybe in the form of pain, inflammation, or exhaustion.

You might start questioning where you fit in. (This one was SUPER uncomfortable for me!) Not knowing how to relate to life anymore brings up more questions, which gives you the opportunity to explore the answers.

One thing that really makes it feel like healing is going backwards is having even more triggers come up. Once you start looking at patterns that don’t serve and wounds needing tended to… all the wounded parts seem to want attention! When this happens, JUST BREATHE, and remember that you’re not broken! Take one step at a time and be gentile with yourself.

Sometimes it feels as if every part of you is literally dying… and maybe some parts of you are😳😉. You get to choose to keep what serves and detach from what doesn’t.

Family… let’s talk about family and relationships in general. Understand that when you change it means you show up different, your energy feels different, and others might not know how to be around you. This can be uncomfortable because the new way of interacting is fresh for you both.

Just take a deep breath, and allow the best version of yourself to show up.

You’ve got this!

PS… if you’d like help knowing how to interrupt unhelpful patterns and ditch the emotional overwhelm, comment “GUIDE” and I’ll send over the link for my
No BS Guide To Master Emotions🫶🏻

Sending you love and hugs…

Just wanted to tell you…

YOU’RE BRAVE!

A lot of times we are told…

- all the things we’re doing “wrong”
- everything we could work on
- how we’ve fallen short
- what we can do better
- how we don’t measure up

This list could go on for days! For some reason as humans we tend to wanna point out what’s NOT going well vs. what IS going well.

The reality is… there is ALWAYS something positive to see and recognize, but we might not be conditioned to see it or recognize it.

Today I wanna tell you all the ways you’re brave.

Which one resonates the deepest?

I’d love to hear in the comments.

Love you… I mean it!

Steps to overcoming challenges and frustrations:

FIRST…

Acknowledge and Accept Your Emotions:

The first step to emotional healing is acknowledging and accepting your emotions.  This means feeling the emotion without judgment or resistance.

NEXT…

Explore The Root Cause:

The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of why you're feeling the way you are, so that you can work to address the underlying issues.

THEN…

Take Action:

The final step in emotional healing is taking action;  to actively work towards healing and growth, rather than suppressing or repressing.

You’re stronger than you think you are, but if you're anything like me, you need help to take your life to the next level.

Maybe you just want someone to tell you what works, how you can manage yourself and in turn, manage life!

I have a group coaching program starting June 20th to help you with all this.👆🏻

You’re not gonna want to miss it!

DM for more info.

Are you done living the way you are?

Maybe it seems like every interaction, whether with someone else or yourself, is painful.

Maybe you suffer with anxiety because you can’t stop the spin of all the thoughts, or wake up depressed because you feel so stuck.

I can TOTALLY relate…

Until the age of 36 I lived in survival mode.

I seemingly had all my “needs” met, yet couldn’t understand why I was so depressed and living on edge.

I was desperate for answers, so I searched, studied, and learned from various mentors who helped me understand myself.

I became great at utilizing what I was taught and with a lot of persistence, I saw the symptoms of Complex PTSD, Hyper-Vigilance, Anxiety, and panic attacks diminish.

I AM NOT MORE “SPECIAL” YOU.

I AM NOT MORE WORTHY.

AND… YOU TOO CAN EXPERIENCE FREEDOM FROM PAIN AND FIND PEACE!

I created this group experience, and it is EXACTLY what I wish I had a few years ago.

I wish I had a lot of things back then, but most of all I wish I knew how to manage myself, understand why I experienced life the way I did, AND KNOW HOW TO CHANGE what I didn’t like.

I walk you through a process to help live a life on purpose, feeling in control of your emotions, triggers, and reactions.

This is SO IMPORTANT!

If you know how to manage self, you can manage life.

The power lies within, and you have the answers you seek, I am just here to facilitate you seeing what already is.

Group starts June 20th with limited spots.

A year from now you’ll wish you’d have started today.

Here are three steps to the emotional healing process:

1. Acknowledge and Accept Your Emotions - This means allowing yourself to feel what you're feeling, without judgment or resistance.

This can be difficult, especially if you're experiencing painful emotions, but it's an essential step in the healing process.

2. Explore the Root Cause - Once you've acknowledged and accepted your emotions, it's important to explore the root cause of those emotions.

This may involve reflecting on past experiences, talking to a therapist, or journaling.

The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of why you're feeling the way you are, so that you can work to address the underlying issues.

3. Take Action - The final step in the emotional healing process is taking action.

This may involve making changes in your life, setting boundaries, or learning new coping skills.

The goal is to actively work towards healing and growth, rather than simply trying to push your emotions aside or ignore them.

Remember, emotional healing is a process, and it may take time and effort to see results. But with commitment and patience, you can overcome emotional pain and find greater peace and happiness in your life.

Drop a 💡 in the comments if this was helpful.

What do emotions have to do with trauma and healing?

Think of your emotions as life’s garden.

The way you ensure a great harvest is to plant seeds like warmth, love, and appreciation instead of seeds like disappointment, anger, and fear.

Use the higher vibrational emotions to bring fulfillment and as an antidote to lower vibrational emotions.

**Gratitude:**

Gratitude is the most potent emotion that can single handedly change your life.

**Hunger:**

If you have a desire to make lasting change within yourself or create lasting value in the world, you must have the determination to make changes happen.

**Passion:**

Passion is what gives you a sense of purpose. Passion can add “juice” to just about anything; it is a force that awakens you, and expands your capability and drive.

**Love & Warmth:**

The expression of love can transmute any lower vibrational emotion. Love itself can heal ailments, and shift circumstances faster than anything else.

**Curiosity:**

If you really want to get to know yourself, heal, and change, you must first become curious with yourself. Curiosity is what opens your mind and heart. Learn to marvel and wonder.

**Flexibility:**

The ability to adapt without getting upset almost guarantees success. Your level of happiness is in direct proportion to the amount of uncertainty you’re willing to experience.

**Cheerfulness:**

Being cheerful means you live a life in pleasure, enjoying what life offers so much that you emit joy to everyone and everything around you.

**Vitality:**

If you have vitality, you are full of life. It all starts with a good state of mind to be in a good state of being.

**Sense of Contribution:**

If you live everyday adding something to another’s life (even as simple as a smile or hug) life takes on a deeper meaning.

Planting seeds is important, but they need cultivation too.

Take time to intentionally feel and experience higher vibration emotions every day and you will find your joy.

How do you weather the emotions of life?

It wasn’t long ago that I realized this life is just a rollercoaster of emotions.

It’s the highs, lows, frustration, anger, and the whole spectrum in between.

I used to think I was “broken” or something was “wrong” with me because my emotions were what you could classify as “extreme”.

I once had a counselor tell me that my emotions were really big because I had so much packed down deep and every time anything came up they ALL wanted to escape!

I first laughed, then cried. (No suprise🤷🏻‍♀️)

Well then, how do I get these emotions out so I don’t feel like a volcano any time something comes up?

I do just that… let them out.

ALL of them.

Each one that needs to be felt, I allow it.

No more shame, guilt, or trying to make them smaller than they are.

I just feel.

Each and every time I let the eruption happen un-inhibited I feel better and I have less to carry.

I want to add a disclaimer, this is not giving you permission to explode on people. These are YOUR emotions and YOU need to feel them no matter the circumstance that initiated them.

Give yourself time and space to manage and experience your emotions so you can better manage and experience life.

Being able to intimately know your own emotions and how your body processes them is ultimately how you will heal, and move past any trauma and/or difficult experiences.

You have to FEEL to HEAL.

So next time you experience an emotion, I invite you to lean into it and really feel what it’s like from inside of your body and not the constructs of your mind.

You are not broken and your emotions don’t define you.

You’re doing great!

It is funny how we look outside ourselves to find safety.

We need to provide safety within before we can experience safety from without.

Nervous System Regulation?

You might be asking yourself what does this look like?

When you find yourself anxious, triggered, panicked, feeling strong emotions, or in fight/flight mode, regulating your nervous system is using your breath to find safety.

Safety is first priority in order to find homeostasis.

You find safety by slowing and deepening your breath.

Withdrawing into self, into your breath, and allowing yourself to find trust and safety in the breath.

The more you practice self regulation through your breath, your body will recognize when you start to intentionally breathe and readily find homeostasis.

The more you practice, the easier it becomes and the less your body will reside in a state of stress.

What part of your life do you want more regulation? Drop it in the comments👇🏻

One week away...

I am so excited for this 6 week JOURNEY TO CONNECTION!!!

Let's lay it out!

TWO options
- IN-PERSON (@balance_meridian 2/5/23 - 3/12/23)
- ONLINE via Zoom (2/6/23-3/13/23 10am Mondays)

6 weeks
- One 90 minute healing Somatic Breathwork Session/Week

Facebook Group
-To share wins, breakthroughs, and celebrations

Using breath to transmute and release the past, regulate your nervous system, and open the heart to feel again is a beautiful opportunity.

This experience utilized a somatic breath pattern to circulate stuck and stagnant energy which brings things to the surface that are ready to be released.

I will guide you into a safe place within your body, then prompt into the breath pattern. This breath pattern will be continued for 25-30 minutes and during this time it is normal to reach an altered state of consciousness.

THIS IS A GOOD THING! It allows your body to do the work while your subconscious sorts things out without having to think.

THAT is an ideal situation if you ask me!

Trauma of all kinds is held in the body, so putting the mind aside and allowing the body to move and release what it needs allows for many things to happen...

1. Your body is able to release, transmute, and process what it needs in order to come back to wholeness.

2. It regulates the nervous system and allows your body to become a safe space once again, not stuck in fight or flight

I have experienced NUMEROUS modalities of healing, counseling, and cognitive therapies... and above all... BREATHWORK is the fastest and most painless way to workout the junk in the trunk (if you know what I mean)😉

If you're ready to live more present, love your life, and feel more safe in your own body. SIGN UP FOR THIS EXPERIENCE!

Journey to Connection ONLINE 01/23/2023

DO YOU FEEL

- Alone yet have people surrounding you?

- Lost when it comes to connecting to others, and in life feeling displaced and unable to fit in?

- Unable to pinpoint what you're dissatisfied with, feeling isolated, left out, and in need of companionship?

- You are simply unlovable no matter what you do… Like what you have to offer and who you are will never be enough?

If any of these feel true; This is an invitation to not allow fear and pain to stop you from living a life of joy!

We are all capable of harnessing our inner strength and courage to break free from the shackles, embrace love, stay connected, and live from the heart.

You may feel like you're an actor in a movie role… BUT in reality…
YOU write the script.

I've created a 6 week JOURNEY TO CONNECTION Breathwork series providing an opportunity for you to feel more free to express love, explore your dreams, and start to connect with yourself so deeply that you can’t help but more readily connect with others… feeling at home in your own skin.

This is a deep meditative breathwork that works directly with the nervous system and the body. Deep healing happens in each session and you're left feeling more clear and available to live a live on purpose.

Sessions are held once a week on Monday morning, you have access to the replays, AND there is a FB group where we cheer each other on and share breakthroughs.

Check it out below👇🏻

Journey to Connection ONLINE 6 weeks to a greater YOU. Opening yourself to connection on a whole new level by utilizing the power of your breath.

Trauma can have devastating effects on our nervous system, changing thresholds as we adjust to the changes in our life. Let's talk about how to cope with these changes and stay balanced!

When I talk about Nervous System thresholds I think of the point at which you become anxious, the moment in the conversation that triggers an emotional reaction, or something similar.

Our Nervous System runs on patterns. Sometimes it serves us, and other times it is crippling.

I like to keep it really simple and think of it like this; our Nervous System wants is to be safe above all else.

SO....

If there is one way to change the thresholds of the Nervous System it is by helping it to feel safe in moments of duress.

I can hear your next question already!

How can I help my Nervous System to feel safe?

One. Word.

BREATH

You can regulate the Nervous System by using your breath. By consciously breathing SLOW & DEEP coming back into the present moment, you can trigger the nerve endings in your lower lobes of the lungs. By initiating these nerve endings in your lower lungs you can move from fight or flight into safety.

Drop the word SAFE in the comments if this was helpful!

What does the word FORGIVENESS make you feel?

Forgiveness is a deeply personal thing and I won't be telling you when a good time is to forgive or have you feel like you need to forgive before you can move forward and heal.

I don't personally believe that forgiveness is required to heal. With the same breath, I will say that forgiveness offers additional, DEEPTH to the healing process (but isn't required).

When you can acknowledge the circumstances of the past (which doesn't mean agree with what happened) & address how the trauma has impacted you, recovery can begin.

Awareness of self is the first and MOST IMPORTANT step to healing.

Working with a trauma informed coach or practitioner might be not just helpful, but necessary when navigating trauma healing. Being in the thick of trauma symptoms can make it difficult to see clearly and understand the next steps.

Find someone to support you.

Let me know what you think of forgiveness in the comments below👇🏻
