☀️A great couple days at Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale‼️ Bumped into this guy👆🏻 from . (Some of you might recognize him) He and his team have a popular show (Bitchin’ Rides) and build some of the most beautiful cars in the world! Endless amounts of beautiful cars and things to do! We will be back! ☀️

⁉️When I’m not in the salon….What am I doing⁉️
Everyday and every week might be a little different. This and last week consisted of the following:
👉🏻 Quotes and communications with several financial planners to on board a 401k plan for our staff‼️ Yes!! You read that right! We are so excited to bring this benefit on to our team‼️
👉🏻 Tax planning and CPA meetings. This is being done constantly. Taxes, especially payroll taxes, play a huge role in decision making for a business. Always knowing where you stand is imperative‼️
👉🏻 Salon updates! Styles change, things wear down, problems arise and making sure your business is looking fresh and providing the correct tools and environment for your staff and clients is ALWAYS on my mind.
👉🏻 Re-evaluating systems of operations. (This keeps me up at night) I’ll constantly be thinking about how we can streamline systems to make our services more consistent and our jobs easier on our staff. 💪🏻 This in turn delivers better customer service. 💗
👉🏻 Working with a business attorney to make sure your brand is protected. 👏🏻

🌟A MUST READ🌟 What is the meaning behind a logo and slogan⁉️⁉️ Does it communicate what your business is about in a matter of seconds to the consumer? Does your slogan support the deign of your logo and your name? 🙋🏼‍♀️
Ours started out on a napkin, in a coffee shop, then sketched on paper. ✏️ I knew I wanted to incorporate the marrying of the beauty industry 💁🏼‍♀️ with ChEMISTRY. 🧬 (That’s truly the basis of our job) 🧪 I wanted the periodic table to be involved. 👉🏻The Re in BRe (our logo) are the two first letters of ReACTION in our name, but also it represents an element on the periodic table called Rhenium‼️ 🤯 It is silver grey in color and one of the rarest. You’ll see lower case, and capitalized letters to communicate when a play on ChEMISTRY is being used, just like the period table. The “Ch” squared is a reference to carbon and hydrogen. This is why our “B” in “Beauty” is in a feminine whimsical font vs ReACTION and ChEMISTRY are more modern fonts. ✍🏻 Our logo has the “B” and our squared “Re” overlapping, thus representing where beauty and chemistry meet…. A SALON! 🤩 “A Beautiful Reaction” has two specific meanings: A chemical reaction and a clients reaction. The combination of both delivers our name. ❤️ We truly want a joyful experience feeling beautiful, incorporating the ChEMISTRY we do everyday! Thank you to and for their help in this creation!! 💗

✨Looking into the future, the new year, the clean slate, this is the year I take my health back!! For over a decade I have sacrificed, put aside, and ignored the warning signs trying to push thru with end goals in sight! NOW, finally, I’m able to achieve balance again. This time it’s going to be a priority‼️ Who else can relate to putting yourself last, neglecting the things that should have been important?! 🙋🏼‍♀️ What are things you’re incorporating to achieve health and wellness?? 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

✨I’m so excited looking into the future!✨ So excited for things to come into fruition that haven’t yet. My prayer is God uses me truly for his will! 🙏🏻 As he knows the desires of my heart better than I do. Starting 2022 with a clean slate, clearer vision and a grateful heart! ❤️

💥Walking into 2022 with an entire new identity, purpose and clarity in my vision.💥 I’m hopeful, with Gods will, 2022 will be a year of growth, development and focus on improving things already in place. The role I will be stepping into is serving, serving my business, my staff and our clients. ❤️ To take .reaction to the next level. 👆🏻 I’m so grateful to the clients that have supported us‼️ We blew past forecasted goals by almost an entire year! 🤯 For this, I have our staff and clients to thank!! 💗💗💗 Happy New Year everyone!! ✨FUN FACT✨ I’m a college drop out that couldn’t hold down a job longer than 6 months‼️🤯 It wasn’t until I did client acacquisition for an insurance company that I realized I needed to do that for myself, as a hair stylist! 💁🏼‍♀️ Off to beauty school I went and didn’t look back‼️ Also knowing owning a salon would be in my future. It goes to show you, no matter how small the talent, dream or concept might seem to you at the time, GO FOR IT! I knew I wasn’t doing what I was born to do. I had to make lots of wrong turns before giving into the right, more scary direction. Our purpose and contentment in life is when we are using our God given talents for others. ❤️

✨This building behind me is a representation of goals, dreams and ambitions coming to fruition. ✨ I started activity looking for a salon location in 2012!! It took until October of 2018 before everything fell into place. 🤯 During that time, my business model changed, my mission changed, my vision changed, even my name changed. If its Gods timing, it’s the right timing‼️ So many locations fell thru, so many doors closed, tears were shed and frustration mounted. 😡 But during all that time .reaction’s concept was born. If there was no wait, if there was no trials, there wouldn’t be what is standing behind me today‼️ For those 6 years of frustration, learning and humbling moments I am beyond grateful. DON’T GIVE UP. 💪🏻 For during the wait new lessons are learned, new ideas are fostered and God’s timing is always perfect. 🙏🏻

✨I had the HONOR of teaching about the ins and outs of business to the beauty industry at ✨ We had over 200+ students with open minds, inquisitive attitudes, and welcoming hearts. 💓 In our industry, the discussion of financial education, income, expenses, profit margin, gross vs. net, is very taboo and not understood by most in our industry. 💰 This next chapter of my career will in part be education to our wonderful industry on such topics as these. 🎉 Beauty is our passion, business should be our ally. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

🙋🏼‍♀️ “What comes next for you if you’re not doing hair?” 🧐 In a follow up to my previous post, I will be retiring from behind the chair in 2022. 🤯 The truth is I have NOT been doing one job well, I have been doing multiple jobs decently‼️🙈 This has been unfair to our clients, our staff and myself! ❤️ COMMISSION SALON OWNERS: If you’re still behind the chair, there are things slipping thru the cracks in your business‼️‼️That is the ABSOLUTE HARD TRUTH! Our priority should be working ON THE BUSINESS not IN THE BUSINESS‼️ This has been one of the hardest decisions of my life, but an extremely necessary one! My priorities will be, NUMBER ONE, keep on developing myself as a leader.‼️ To be the best mentor for my staff that I can be! NUMBER TWO: Systems, Systems, Systems!! This equates to an organized business and CONSISTENCY for your staff and clients alike. I love finding the holes and problems in the business and making it better!! To offer a work space and culture in our salon that truly takes care of our staff and make them feel valued. NUMBER THREE: Scaling‼️ But not loosing quality. This is a hard concept for businesses and companies. When they begin to grow, some can get detached from their “WHY” and loose authenticity and quality. I have always had a vision of multiple locations. 2022, with Gods grace, we will begin the search for our second location, keeping our “WHY” at the for front!! As much as I will miss the personal relationships I have cultivated through hair, I am so very excited to meet even more faces as we grow‼️ I will always be doing hair, through the time and training I poor into my staff. 💓 For this, I am forever thankful!! After 14 years of working behind the chair, I will be retiring as of 2022. 🥺 This decision is one of the hardest I’ve had to make! I feel God is taking me in a different direction at this time. 💗 Over the years I’ve had the honor of meeting some of the most incredible clients, who have also become some of my closest friends and have impacted my life, and my business for the positive. That is what I will miss the most and will be forever grateful. ❤️ This next season of my life will be focused on impacting our clients through my staff. 💁🏼‍♀️ I will be working on all things business, I will be fine tuning systems and operations at A Beautiful Reaction]]. ✅ I will be nurturing leaders, improving guest experience and training/mentoring my staff to the next level.
