ACNE CAUSES AND TREATMENT
Acne occurs when your hair follicles or pores are clogged. This can be caused by excess oil, dead skin cells, dirt & debri, etc..

Additional Causes:
▪︎Hormonal Changes - More commonly during puberty, but can also be said for midlife changes (specifically women) and can lead to breakouts.
▪︎Diet - Foods high in carbs aid in acne flair ups
▪︎Stress - while stress does not Cause acne, it does contribute and make it worse!
▪︎Too Much Friction - ie pllow cases, phone screen, rubbing your face, over exfoliating, etc..

How to help?
♡Wash your face twice daily! Once in the morning and once before bed.
☆If you are wearing a mask for an extended period of time - make sure you do cleanse your face when you remove your mask
♡Exfoliate every 3-5 days.
☆This does depend on how sensitive your skin is. Over-exfoliaating can cause scarring, redness, and dehydration
♡Use toner!
☆This will help remove any residual product from your skin as well as restore your skin to its natural balanced pH level.
♡Moisturize!!
☆Do Not skip this step! Make sure you are moisturizing every morning and night!
♡Apply SPF
☆Sunscreen should be reapplied every 2 hours through the day according to bottle instructions. SPF is not meant for your night routine.
