Very sad day in my world, my constant companion of 7 plus years Layne Scaley passed away last night in his sleep. He had been somewhat ill for the past week or so and there were three occasions where he had over consumed water and drowned himself to the point of my having to bring him back with CPR. This was not the case last night, he was very peaceful and just wanted to be near me as he was until he fell asleep and I placed him back in his tank. Something told me I was putting him down for the last time and I woke up this morning to find that it was true. I'm just processing the loss that might seem menial to some, but to me it's a pretty big deal. I'm not going to answer any questions or hash over it any further, I will hold on to the fact that I was able to give him a really good life and that the time he spent with Kelly Welsh and I was beyond quality time. He was free to roam, a bit defiant and pushy but always loving.. he would sleep on the bed with Kelly, and ride around in my Jeep with me all the time and never once wanted to escape. I'm going to miss him like crazy and already do. So with that all I can say is rest in peace my little buddy! I love you still and I hope I gave you a wonderful life. He was 8 years old.
Three times that Layney drank too much water and literally drowned himself and I had to bring him back by means of CPR. This is a few weeks ago now, and he's been a little bit sick, but I don't believe it's a result of that, he's never been in a tank and right now I have to keep him in one to get his body temperature right and to get him the right amount of UVB. He likes to wander off into cool dark places and just hang out for a while, but it's going to be a while before he's allowed to do that again. So keep him in your thoughts if you would and thank you for following!

My mommy's surgery was a success! I'm really happy and I know my dad is to, that's all he's been thinking about and praying about all day! We send her all our love and devotion and patience for things to work out miraculously sooner than imagined. God is good! Look at this cute little relative of mine...he is a western banded gecko. I wish you could see how pretty my mommy is!

I'm not sure where my human got these hairy lizards but they're pretty cool! We are all thinking about how nice it would be to have mommy around down here... Tomorrow is her surgery and we know it's going to go just fine, thanks to everybody who has been praying and sending their healing Vibes to her! :-)
My human went looking for other lizards! I know better though, he's totally devoted to me so it's okay if he checks out Mother Nature's other awesome creations... Because I know who I am... I am LAYNE SCALEY dagnabbit! 🦎👑

I want to ask all of my friends that like my page here to keep the one and only Mommy that has my heart in your thoughts and prayers please! She's going to have surgery in a couple of days and I need all the prayers for her I can get... I want her to come home and throw this ball for me! She is really scared so if you could pray that her fear would go away and that she wouldn't have to worry about any after effects of her surgery affecting the way my daddy feels about her ever... I know that he will be there for her when he is able to be and me too! We love her very much and nothing can change that! Thank you all ahead of time, Layne Scaley and daddy 🦎❤🥰❤🙏
Yeah I'm goofy sometimes, sure could use my mommy to help hold me up but I know she's going to be in bed for a few weeks after her surgery... But me and my daddy are praying for her and we know she's going to be fine! We got her message and we miss her a lot and we love her too :-) xoxoxo 🥰❤

Wishing my mama was here so I can introduce her to my little friend Needy... she was hit by a car and my human rescued her from certain death and now she won't leave so I guess I have to share but we miss you a lot! And we know that Needy will love you too! 🙏 for you daily!

Sweets passed away on March 1st and we're both heartbroken 💔 too much loss in the past 6 months 😓 Rest in Peace Sweetsy! We love you forever 😥

This is my awesome cousin Sweets! She is a chacoan giant black-and-white Tegu and she's really nice to me, lets me sit on her back and likes to bask with me. It's good to have big friends!
