The baby run got added to the other coop ☺️
The inside babies got put outside today , they have big girl feathers and ready to go!
Once they get bigger they will be ready for new coops.

Sugarbee - loves to be a dog, meets me out front ALL the time. I come home and she comes right up to greet me, enjoys cuddles and pets. She is adventurous and enjoys a well rounded diet of our bugs front and back yard and our neighbors bugs

Cider- our lucky number 7. She is our 7th hen here and we had a scare with her a few months ago. She recovered great, and has a little hobble wobble. She stays with her clique of girls and doesn't venture far.
She is quite and gets along with everyone. Her favorite treat is pepperoni.

Strudel- strudel with oodles of attitude. She is a boss chicken in the coop and runs the pecking order with the other wyandottes. She doesn't accept new things openly, thinks babies are annoying, along with cuddles and pets. Favorite treat is watermelon.

This is Annabelle

Now I love this chicken and all her characteristics, she is named after the haunted doll if you recognize the name. Why you ask?
Oh because she is a psycho in every nice way possible 😂
She loves to take off across the yard honking and flapping, at doves, pigeons, sparrows, and any other bird who dares enter the yard. She also likes to run over to the barn cats and pull their tail when they are laying down.
Yes she honks. She doesn't cluck or brup, she honks like a hoarse goose.. 😬 she's healthy just her thing.
She socializes with the other chickens but doesn't put herself in the flock, she does her own little thing, madame is her best friend and the only one she really accepts right now.
She has an attitude about things and how things should be and she does get in a huff if it doesn't fit her view. She's super vocal loves to talk.
She also just likes running around like something is chasing her and there's nothing wrong..

What do we do when a hen gets hurt?
We take the best care of her we can. She gets put in a medium crate with water and food , taken out and worked with and given any medical attention necessary. Most importantly Shown they are loved and in this scary time they aren't alone.

Strudel has a leg injury, we are not sure how but she made it aware during an afternoon check. She was ok In the morning. It's not broken, possibly sprained.

Amethyst and opal went to a new home together today 💜 they will have a beautiful place, and some awesome new sisters. I'm eggcited for them! 🐥
It was amazing raising these girls, it's bittersweet having them go.
