This past Saturday, I had the honor of covering the funeral of Lawrence Brooks, the oldest WWII Veteran. At the ripe 112 years old, he said his key to a long life was being nice to everyone. I’ve been fortunate to photograph birthday celebrations for Mr. Brooks since he turned 107 year old.
In my 19 year career, I’ve been up close & personal in so many incredible events & met some truly unforgettable people. I’ve gotten to be part of some once in a lifetime moments, and this here is at the top of that list.
Thank you for the wonderful life you lead, Mr. Brooks. Thank you for your service. Thank you for leaving us all with a simple, yet powerful philosophy in life. 🇺🇸
