A huge THANK YOU to Seth’s Property Maintenance LLC for helping us clean our first courtyard! Now our students can have a safe fun spot to enjoy the sun, read a book and even eat lunch! Shout out to our JSA members, the Kiser family, Bitter family and Patino family for waking up early on a Saturday morning to come to school! Everyone worked so hard and showed their respect, empathy and responsibility to our school. We love JOY!

The JSA is holding a Halloween Candy Drive! The class to collect the most Halloween candy will receive a popcorn party! Starting September 16th through October 1st!

The JSA offers warm congratulations to our Teacher Liaison, now Mrs. Oberholtzer, and wishes the newlyweds a lifetime of JOY and happiness.

Our next JSA meeting will be Wednesday, September 4th at 5:30 in the library at Joy! We hope to see you there to help make this a great year for the kids, teachers and staff!

What a wonderful successful fun fair!
Thank you to our amazing principal, teachers, support staff and parents that volunteered their time to help us!
Especially our Instructional Assistants for coming in early and helping set up. The JSA could not do it without you! Thank you to all the grades and support staff for donating baskets for our raffle too!

JSA is selling Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day! Flyers are being sent home or you can print the photo attached! Please return the completed Candy Grams with money by February 9th.

The JSA would like to thank Miss Salgado for dedicating seven years to our parent group. Miss Salgado was a vital member of the Joy School Association, -but has decided to take a step down as teacher liaison. We thank her so much for her service! The JSA will always be here to support her as she continues to be the Rock Star Kindergarten teacher she is! Thank you, Miss Salgado!!

Joy did such an amazing job donating food for the Michigan City Food Drive that we couldn’t pick just one winning class for our Joy School competition!

In 1st place is Mrs. Southworth’s second grade class with a total of 1414 food items collected! They will receive a pizza party for their outstanding teamwork!

In close 2nd place is Miss Roadruck’s fifth grade class! They will receive a pizza party for their hard work!

In 3rd place is Miss Crawford’s fourth grade class! They will receive a popcorn party for their efforts and dedication!

Way to go, Joy! Thank you for helping the Salvation Army provide food for those in need!

WE DID IT! Joy collected 5,538.7 pounds (12.9 pounds per student)!

MCHS Student Council members will be presenting the traveling trophy to us on Wednesday

Since we have reached our 50 student max today, we are now FULL for our Parents’ Night Out event! We are no longer accepting forms or money.
