Is it overmedicalized?
Or is there finally awareness around menopause and the life altering changes that result from it?
Or that women will no longer accept life after 40 may include physical, mental and emotional suffering because of lack of understanding by the medical field…the field that is supposed to support them and they just have to deal with it?

🚺 Remember: Perimenopause, the time before menopause, can last years! Menopause is just that blip in time when a woman hasn’t menstruated for 12 consecutive months. Once you’re past that 12th month, you’re menopausal, or post-menopause. Keep in mind symptoms can still occur even post-menopause!
Since 1984 World Menopause Day has been held on October 18th
The intention is to raise awareness of menopause, its symptoms and the options that women have to help improve their time in it.
Many women suffer a variety of symptoms, never knowing that their symptoms are associated with menopause or that they can do something about it!
The theme this year is cognition and mood. The cognitive symptoms of menopause include brain fog, difficulty concentrating, lack of focus and inability to find words. Many women say they feel like they are “out of control” or “going crazy”. And the worry that comes from those feelings just add to the anxiety 😟
Mood issues of menopause include “anxiety, depression, mood swings, low mood or “malaise” and rage.
Lowering levels of progesterone, fluctuating estrogen and the interaction between estrogen and serotonin during perimenopause all have an impact on cognition and mood.

Over the summer I had the opportunity to "interview" to learn more about
Last week we sat down for my own session. What an incredible hour! Kristi went through my Human Design chart with me explaining that the chart is like a map of how a person's energy works.
She went on and explained my HD type ( ), my "strategy" and the centers that affect me most. Throughout the session we talked about how this information may have presented in the past and how I can utilize it in the future.
SO many great insights! I learned so much about how/why I interpret experiences the way I do, how that impacts me physically and emotionally, and how I can make it work for me when it comes to my relationships, my health and even my business!

Ending my day like I started…with a walk
It’s one of my favorite things to do in spring/summer when the weather is so nice.
A walk is also one of my favorite ways to help maintain
How can a simple walk do that? Walking can:
✔️ Improve - great for after any meal
✔️ Lower cortisol - which is high today from my exercise 🏋🏻♀️ Day 15 by
✔️ Help set circadian rhythm - like early morning sun tells the body to wake up and stop producing melatonin, the setting sun tells the body it’s time to settle down and release melatonin
