Hi babes this is me and I wanted to share 10 Fun Facts about My MUA Journey 💄✨

1. I’ve always loved makeup and would do family and friends just for fun. However, I never thought this could be a “job” or If I could even provide for my family doing this.

2. Fresh out of high school in 2018, I started at Dillards working for the Estée Lauder Counter, spending 40-50 hours a week color-matching and doing skin consultations.

3. I was offered the MAC retail manager position in Odessa, TX. My artistry evolved in ways I never imagined, mastering full glam on all complexions.

4. Many clients at the MAC counter motivated me to start my own business. I switched jobs to take clients on weekends and evenings.

5. In July 2022, after having my second son, my husband encouraged me to take the leap. I quit my full-time job, created my website, and started my small business. My goal was 2 clients a week—now, I’m blessed with up to 20 clients weekly.

6. In August 2022, I joined at the Glam Factor Midland. Despite my fears, they welcomed me with open arms, and I grew in confidence.

7. Within the same month I was booked and paid out for an Indian wedding at the Omnium Hotel in Dallas, Tx.

8. I took a couple online courses from celebrity MUA’s and a couple in person classes within the first two years being in business. I then decided to pursue my cosmetology license, starting school in fall 2023.

9. West Texas finest bo***ir studio asked me to be a part of their MUA team. I’ve been honored to do clients from across the states in their studio. Since then I’ve also sponsored for West Texas Bridal Expo and West Texas Fashion Show to name a couple.

10. Today, I’m a licensed cosmetologist working in one of Midland’s best salons. I’ve shed blood, sweat, and tears to get here. I strive to be the best version of myself every day, and I’m grateful for each and every one of you who supports my small business. 🤍

I truly feel in my heart that this was my calling. It’s a beautiful thing to do what I love everyday. I’m making this post as a reminder that we all start somewhere and it’s never too late to do something you love. Xx Angela 🫶
