November 5, 2023 – Chicago, Illinois. – The Federal Agency proudly announced a significant environmental achievement. Through its participation in the innovative SPACE anew™ sustainability program, the Federal Agency has successfully kept 49.61 tons of office furniture and other miscellaneous items from ending up in the landfill. This landfill avoidance encompasses an extensive range of items, showcasing the thoroughness of the Federation's commitment to a greener tomorrow. Items include: Complete office furniture components such as panels, pedestals, wood tops, plastic inserts, and steel legs. All pallets and glass used in office spaces. Specified engineering steel and file cabinets. Miscellaneous items ranging from scales, damaged carpet, and a mini fridge to cardboard, wiring, and electrical connectors. Federal Agency executive, humorously remarked, “I think we might have missed a couple of old floor cleaning machines in our enthusiasm. But the bigger picture is what matters here!” This eco-friendly maneuver showcases the Federal Agency forward-thinking approach and underscores its commitment to environmental responsibility. Every item diverted from landfills not only helps in reducing our carbon footprint but also emphasizes the importance of repurposing and recycling. "We are thrilled with the results of our partnership with the SPACE anew™ program," said the Federal Agency President. "This effort reaffirms our dedication to leading by example in environmental stewardship and lays down the marker for other industries to follow." BREAKING NEWS: Meet Renars Bundzis, SPACE, Inc.’s Director of Marketing and Sustainability!!! Renars started just 4 weeks ago at SPACE and is very excited to work with the team and the unique products that the company has to offer to the market. On the day-to-day you can catch him wearing many hats with SPACE business growth as his top priority. “My goal is for SPACE to help the customers achieve their work environment goals while conveying a sustainable story to their community / target audience and leave a lasting impact for the generations to come,” said Renars. When asked how he got started at SPACE Renars said, “I had a very unconventional way on how I made my way to SPACE – my wife owns a swim school here in Midland and I was filling in for her as she was recovering from a major surgery. Paddy ( the president of SPACE) had just signed his kids up for swim lessons and his wife was supposed to bring them that day. However, Paddy came in with the kids and after the lessons we just had a quick chat that led to the exchange of contact information, further interviews with Kathy, Paddy, and Jenni, and a job offer with Kathie, Paddy, and Jenni over some delicious chocolate chip cookies.” Renars sees the future of design as an environment that brings people together and allows for extraordinary things to happen. RENARS’ FUN FACTS: I swam across the Mackinac Straight to save $4 on a bridge toll cost. The best way for me to relax is to compete, build or do physically demanding work. PERSONAL DESIGN STYLE: I am a fan of Scandinavian Design that is minimalistic, uses a blend of textures to make sleek and modern spaces feel warm and inviting. Earth day is a great day to partake in April’s volunteerism month! Go out and clean up a local beach, clean-up a hiking trail, plant some flowers and trees.
