This guy was big last year with a small kicker. This year he is a monster!

While out at this weekend our camera caught a nice Axis Buck at a water tank. With the full moon they did a lot of moving during the night. What a weekend of chasing these big boys!

Dudes already outside of his ears while some are barely an 2 inches tall. Do you think this guy is gonna be an 8,10, or a 12 point?

Got the chance to speak with one of the neighbors who is on a high fence. Have great conversations about improved genetics versus Texas native deer. Unfortunately this 3.5 year old got an infection when rubbing off his velvet and died.

Awful way to find them

Spent some time today checking snares for beaver on one of the trap lines.

Beavers gave me the slip but I did find this buck floating in the creek.

Nature is harsh.
