Now that the humidity has modified and the temps are cooler, horses are happier hanging around for Bemer sessions. Angie enjoys her time. I have some a little time available in the next week for demos or regular sessions. Let me know what I can do for your horse.

The highlight of today was visiting my newest equine client who is an only week old. There is nothing cuter than a donkey foal. His owner got a photo of him napping after a bit of play while I was trimming his dad. The video and second picture is from the day he was born in the comments.

I hope everyone made it through this mess of Spring Snow storm without too much trouble. With a little luck the power companies will get restorations made quickly although I understand parts of the state were hit harder than others.

I am out and about with free time this afternoon if anyone has hoof care needs let me know. If I can bring anything for you on my way I am happy to do what I can.

This is a fun and fascinating post. The same horse, same leg, radiographs taken consecutively showing different stances. Can you spot the changes? All depending on where the horse is leaning in their balance at the moment.

I have had a couple very awesome experiences in the last few weeks. Two hoof care client horses have been receiving regular Bemer sessions. One horse has often been a little cranky and unbalanced to work on despite regular soft tissue body work and the other had become quite stiff needing frequent breaks and was slow to pick his hooves up off the ground. I was most excited at our recent appointments to learn that both horses had significant improvements in their ability to allow me to work on their hooves. The cranky horse was happier and more balanced and the stiff horse was soft and relaxed and was so willing to pick up his hooves for the first time since I met him. 😀.

Know how to find a digital pulse is a valuable skill for catching laminitis or other hoof issue early. I have been seeing a higher number of laminitis cases than normal this year. Keep an eye on your equines, keep there carbohydrate intake as low and possible and investigate any change in your horse’s movement or demeanor. Catching laminitis early is very helpful!

What does a Farrier do on a Saturday night after a long day of driving and trimming equines. Take a few minutes to do Bemer sessions for your personal horses of course.
