PSA: Stop letting people play in your head!! I had a new client reach out to me for a full head loc repair. I found out she just had got lock extensions from someone a few weeks ago and she just did not get what she thought she would. Some things to consider when looking for a stylist: Research and check reviews In person consultation Are they licensed or educated in what they are providing? Stay tuned for the repair!
Lint or product build up?? This client has lint build up. How do I know? -product build up is more mushy to feel when wet and mainly in the new growth area -lint buildup looks like white flakes stuck in the loc and is harder to remove -lint buildup is primarily seen around the perimeter locs but can be seen else where From a few questions I found My client has lint buildup from consistently not wrapping his locs up at night. Take care of your locs and it will show!! #staypressdmke #staypressdlocs
Things you should include in your night time loc routine: -Moisturize to replenish lost moisture throughout the day -Use a leave in conditioner or moisturizing cream to reduce frizz -Always use satin or silk head wraps and pillow covers to prevent lint and buildup Take care of your locs and you will see the results!! The best way I keep kiddos dry during their service is by adding a piece of plastic tucked in to the back of their shirt. Do this before draping with towel and cape! It works every time!!
