The Shame List Picture Show
With a "shamelist" of movies and tv shows they've never seen before, they watch, discuss, and better
The Shamelist Pictureshow is a podcast created by Michael Viers & Nicholas Richards where our heroes make a "shamelist" of movies and television shows they've never seen before. One-by-one they go down the lists watching, discussing and bettering themselves as cinephiles and pop culture nerds.

We got to talk about one of my all-time favorite feel-good comedies which happened to be on both of their Shame Lists.

Last year for Cinepunx year "Cineween" celebration I wrote a very personal piece about a film called FRANKENSTEIN AND ME. It's about my finding a "lost" movie, Gateway Horror, Burt Reynolds and my dad.
Tomorrow, for my show The Shame List Picture Show, I get to chat with the film's director Robert Tinnell.
If anyone has any questions they'd like me to ask him, please let me know and I'll try to work them in.
Cineween 2023: Frankenstein and Me… and Me Horror always felt “dirty” because it was primarily advertised toward adults but these eerie family films made it feel safe and made me feel less weird for being fascinated by all this creepy stuff. However, one film, more than others seemed to have a profound effect on me in a way that I wasn.....
With the news of my favorite local theatre, the Times Cinema, not showing films on a regular basis anymore I felt this was the right time to post this. Last year as part of Milwaukee Twisted Dreams Film Festival I was able to moderate a panel I’ve been dreaming about for years about film criticism and the horror genre. I got to sit down with two of my favorite people, Josephine Maria Yanasak-Leszczynski and Mack Bates, and a new friend in Tom Fuchs.
The Times, as stated, is my favorite theater. Their audio and projection is the most solid in the city, their programming is fun and they’ve felt like they were always around.
Paul Deeter, Jordan Davis and myself would go see pretty much everything they’d show in high school and it’s how I met Ryan Lee Neibauer. I shot my senior thesis film there. I went there to see DARK SIDE OF OZ and some truly great repertory screenings. I saw Joe Bob Briggs perform there, I’ve shown films there and I’ve done panels there. I even got to program Brandon Bassham’s THE SLASHENING there as part of the Twisted Dreams Film Fest.
I know they aren’t “gone” but it’s definitely going to be different.
Without further adieu, here’s our panel: “Why So Critical? A Discussion on Film Criticism and the Horror Genre”
"Why So Critical? A Discussion on Film Criticism and the Horror Genre" This is the panel that I moderated for at the Times Theater is Wauwatosa, WI on October 21st, 2023. This is a panel I had drea...
