It’s only Monday but I’m looking forward to the upcoming weekend! I’m stoked to be a part of the Madison Art Fair on the Square. It’s one of the biggest juried art shows in the region, so I’m very excited to have been selected this year!

Friday morning, cold and beautiful.

Tidal Patterns

Rocking with the blues this morning along the lake shore.

Dawn at the nature trail.

Sitting there on shore with the sights and sounds fully enveloping me, I felt complete.

Days like this make me wish I could walk on water.

Our first proper lake smoke sunrise. Sea smoke occurs, when the air is very cold and the water is comparatively warm. As a light wind of cold air sweeps in, it cools the warm air immediately above the water, which makes the air dip below the dew point. The air is only able to hold so much moisture before it condenses into fog, or sea smoke.
The sun will expose the turbulent movements of the sea smoke as its lifting from the surface.
This is easily my favorite occurrence in winter, it’s even better when the windchill dips well below zero.

I’m excited to be taking part in a show that for over 50 years has been showcasing local, regional, and national artists. The Starving Artists' Show is held annually in September on the first Sunday following Labor Day.

This is a great show to get amazing art at reasonable prices!

Stop by this Sunday from 10am-5pm and check out all the talented artist.
