Green Web Design was founded in 1995 on the idea that the Internet could make marketing more environmentally friendly.

The Internet became publicly available in 1993, and I started using it immediately. After high school, while working towards an Associates in Science, I took an Environmental Science class at my local technical college. I also took a class where we touched on basic website design. I was instantly hooked.

I thought that by publishing and advertising primarily online, we could save trees and stop toxic ink from seeping into our landfills and water tables. I also thought that the Internet would give businesses the potential to reach a much wider audience than print advertising could.

More than one person told me that the internet was "just a fad" and that I would regret wasting my time on something that would never last. But I kept making websites for myself and for people I knew, and my interest grew. After I had been doing this for quite a while, my dad eventually bought me my domain name since I didn't have a credit or debit card yet to register it with. This made it "official."

It turns out that I was right. Almost 30 years later, I am still designing websites for small businesses. Ironically, I have since designed a website for the grown child of one of the people who told me the Internet would never last.

My passion for websites has expanded to so many other areas as well. I never stop learning new skills and adding new services to my repertoire. I intend to keep learning and honing my skills until the day that I die.

Starting in September, I will be offering Group Training Classes for my clients. Topics will include WordPress for Beginners, Intermediate WordPress, WooCommerce for Beginners, and more!

I have developed 12 classes so far, and will be announcing the first WordPress class date soon. Each class can accomodate 4 students, and will be 90 minutes.

My office is next to La Cabana Menominee on Hwy 41. My fridge is empty, aside from some almond milk and condiments, and I really don't have the will to go shopping today. So after my afternoon meeting with Spartan Solutions, I called in an order to pick up on my way home. This is the La Cabana Salad, and it's one of my favorite things to order. Lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, cheese, steak, chicken, and shrimp. I always tell them "No Cebolla" because I absolutely hate onions. lol. They never, ever, ever fail me on the No Onions thing. I trust them completely to always get my order 100% correct every single time with no unpleasant suprises. Also, the lady who always takes my order on the phone warms my heart. When I tell her it's a To Go order for Jessica, she exclaims "Jessie!" (which is what my family and closest friends call me) and she always is careful to make sure that my order has no cebolla. When I pick my order up, she always greets me like an old friend, with a warm smile, and is so kind and sweet to me. I have come to think of her as an honorary auntie, and it brightens my day to see her every single time. So, shout out to La Cabana Menominee. Truly the best restaurant in Menominee!

Earlier I was out running errands and saw that The Grateful Cheese was parked over at Greenpharm. I was too exhausted to go shopping or cook, so I decided to stop and get dinner. I got a Disney sandwich with steak and peppers. and some dill cheese churds. Yum! No dishes to do after dinner. I love that they have buzzers that go off when your order is ready. I went and relaxed in my car for a few minutes, and it was done in no time. Perfect!

Today I got a scoop of ice cream in my wild berry smoothie. Highly recommended! 😍🩷

I admin several groups. I carefully vet accounts that ask to join because I dont want my groups overrun with scammers. I also like to set up questions to help save time. I wish they were all this honest. 😂🤣
