The Carson Valley Lions club began in the spring of 1953 with some farmers from Smith Valley coming over the hill to the Carson Valley and meeting with some farmers and businessmen here and forming the CV Lions Club. After becoming a lions club one of the first things we did was contact the schools about providing eye glasses and care for the youth of the Valley. Today we have 19 members doing many programs that benefit our local community.

Today the Carson Valley lions was busy We did our monthly food giveaway. Also we partner with the 20 30 club and took 78 kids school close shopping. This was the last food giveaway this year. Man it's great to be a lion

over 250 blankets donated to the children's cancer foundation

SATURDAY the Carson Valley lions club passed out food to over 100 people. We do this once month through October

that Lion Debbie had in her garage up to Reno to
the Children's Cancer Foundation.
We had 169 blankets.
The drive goes till the end of June
