With the weather heating up, it's tempting to spend all day outdoors, right? But we have to take care of our skin too!

Here are some quick tips to keep you safe in the sun:

🌳 Seek shade whenever possible and rock those stylish sun hats!

🚫 Skip the indoor tanning beds — they're a big no-no!

😎 Don't forget those eyes! Invest in sunglasses that block both UVA and UVB rays.

🧴 Use SPF 15+ sunscreen, covering your face, neck, ears, and any other exposed skin.

Personally, I like to enjoy the Texas outdoors during the cooler parts of the day, like the morning and evening. It's a great way to avoid the harsh midday sun. 🌅

Did you know that May is National Strawberry Month? It's the perfect time to indulge in these delicious, juicy fruits that not only taste amazing but also pack a nutritious punch! 🍓

Fun fact: Did you know that strawberries are the only fruit with seeds on the outside? It's true! Those tiny specks you see are actually the plant's ovaries, and each one contains a seed. Nature is truly fascinating, isn't it? 🌱

To celebrate this month dedicated to strawberries, I've got a mouthwatering recipe for you to try — Strawberry Chocolate Greek Yogurt Bark! 🍫🍓 This sweet and satisfying treat is not only easy to make but also a healthier alternative to traditional desserts.

Plus, it's perfect for satisfying those sweet cravings completely guilt-free! 😋

Ingredients:

3 cups plain Greek yogurt

¼ cup pure maple syrup or honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 ½ cups sliced strawberries

¼ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Stir yogurt, maple syrup (or honey) and vanilla in a medium bowl. Spread on the prepared baking sheet into a 10-by-15-inch rectangle. Scatter the strawberries on top and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Freeze until very firm, at least 3 hours. To serve, cut or break into 32 pieces.

I want to upgrade your nutritional game this month with some simple recipes you can come back to when your meal plan needs a boost. And when I say simple… I mean SIMPLE!

This Slow Cooker Breakfast Casserole will quickly become your new favorite recipe. Top with your favorite cheese, salsa, or toppings to make this your own!

Servings 4

Ingredients
Nonstick cooking spray
8 large eggs
1 cup milk of your choice
1 tsp. garlic powder
¾ tsp. ground cumin
½ tsp. sea salt (or Himalayan salt)
½ tsp. ground black pepper
5 cups frozen shredded no-salt added hash browns
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 medium red bell peppers, finely chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
½ cup reduced-fat shredded Mexican cheese
1 medium avocado, chopped
¼ cup reduced-fat sour cream
¼ cup pico de gallo

Instructions
1. Lightly coat a 6-quart slow cooker with spray. Add eggs, milk, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper; whisk to combine. Add hash browns, onion, and bell peppers; stir to combine. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.
2. Divide the casserole evenly among 4 serving bowls. Top each with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Productivity is more than just your output ;) Productivity is found in the nap that your body needs, in feeling your body, and meditation that feeds your soul. Productivity is found in getting coffee with a friend and prolonged morning snuggles.

You can still have big goals and accomplish amazing things but the quality with which you approach EVERYTHING changes when we replace the harsh voice with a gentler and kinder one.

Saturday Spring Spruce Up

Let's talk about cleaning! I'm decent at it when I'm in the zone, but sometimes it's hard to get started, right? That's where seasonal cleaning comes in handy.

Today's challenge: Pick two tasks from the list below and share any kitchen cleaning tips you have. And don't forget those before/after photos—I love seeing progress!

Kitchen Spring Cleaning Suggestions:
- Organize the junk drawer (I like using small Tupperware)
- Clean out the dishwasher (run a cycle with vinegar)
- Tidy up the pantry (trash expired items, wipe down shelves)
- Spruce up the counters (clean utensil jar, toaster tray, microwave)
- Give the oven and cooktop some love (self-clean, wipe down k***s)
- Freshen up the fridge and freezer (clear everything out, wipe down shelves)

Let's tackle these tasks together! Put on some music, grab your supplies, and let's get cleaning!

Spring has sprung in our backyard. Our first bloom besides the dandelion a few feet away from it. First year the bunnies haven't devoured the spring flowers in our backyard. We blocked all their holes with bricks and chicken wire along with millions of shiny pinwheels everywhere.😆 It's been fun watching everything come to life with the kids.🤗
