Question for all my UK party people, anyone recall the venue (club night) that featured Drum and Bass, Jungle that was next door to Fatboy Slim's Big Beat Boutique? I played Norman's club in Feb and Sept. 1998 with Krafty Kuts and again when it was just called the Boutique in 2001 and one of those times I ventured next door and had my mind blown and I'm still affected by that insane club and vibe (the D&B club) would love to know what it was (Brighton UK)

OK so any producer worth their salt has bought a synth or drum machine, then said naah don't need it and sold it, only to realize years later it was indeed a bad ass piece of kit.. case in point this was one that got away from me back in the day that I actually do miss, it had such a unique metallic sounding filter which I have yet to accurately duplicate. The entire synth loop from my Salesman track was played thru the filter on the 8080 here to give you an idea of how severe it sounded...

How my MC 505 ended up on stage at Lady Gaga's concert at XL Energy Center St. Paul a few years back...
It is a long story but the late great wiz producer and long time pal the Late Mike Gates and I were working on trax for Analog Records as he was in town from New York, and he was also in the process of teaching techno producer and opening act Lady Starlight how to make techno (using my MC 505 as a guidepost) .. When Lady Gaga came to Minnesota to perform, it was my MC 505 that ended up on stage with them. So bizarre to see that and even more bizarre was that I attended her concert to see how the MC 505 behaved in that environment..

So in 1997 I flew to San Francisco (All Together Now Party) with Tim Taylor of Missile Records and had this bad b'woy in my duffle bag on the plane, and during the flight made this entire song on this battery operated sampler. We mastered it at the mighty Abbey Road Studios and it came out nice. (C';mon Everybody) Eye Q Records.
