Remember yesterday when we told you we had been in This Old House Magazine 4 times? Well…we would love to share with you this article. Another favorite project for the same family we featured yesterday. Except this time we converted an extra bedroom and adjacent primary bedroom into an ensuite. Steam shower, soaking tub, double sinks, walkin closet, you name it, this bathroom had it all!

For many of you, you’ve watched us grow and seen us in This Old House Magazine over the years. We’ve been in it 4 times!

But… for our newer followers we’d love to reshare these stories. We were so proud to be included and loved every one of these projects. We will share more later this week. Stay tuned!

We’re thrilled to share that Edit Design Build Studio is a Best of Houzz 2024 winner! We’re so proud of all this team has accomplished and honored to be recognized for our work.



When clients sing our praises like this, we have to blush just a little🥰!

For those of you who don’t know us personally, I’d like to introduce the heart and soul of Edit Design Build Studio. This is the extraordinary Zoe Kardasis Sturtz. She is the co-founder and co-owner of Edit and has steadily guided us for the past 15 years. Those of you who do know us and have had the opportunity to work with us know just how talented, friendly and professional Zoe is in all phases of the design and construction process. If you haven’t had the pleasure of working with her, you are missing out! I am honored to be her partner in Edit and in life.

There is really nothing like a brand new kitchen! A small bump out to the back of this home made ALL the difference. It gave us just enough room to add a spacious island and good circulation to this otherwise tight space. Isn’t she pretty? ❤️

Do you ever wonder how you will invision your future remodeled space before we build it?

Well …we start with renderings like these! This sweet St.Paul condo was in desperate need of a full kitchen renovation and a huge living room remodel. We are gutting the spaces, installing all new cabinetry, countertops, and finishes, updating electrical wiring and installing stunning new fixtures.

The living room has a dated sunken floor which we are rising up while updated the paint, the flooring material and all the millwork.

Happy birthday to this guy! If you don’t know Ryan yet, you are really missing out! He’s perhaps the hardest working, most considerate, kindest, guy you might ever meet. He’s a super dad, an awesome husband, a killer general contractor and an all around super nice human! I can’t think of anyone I would rather share my work and my home life with. We recently renovated our Edit office and it is something else! We are so excited to share it with you. Here is a little peek…stay tuned, we will share more images this week!

It doesn’t get much kinder than this. Our hearts are full! ❤️

There is always room for improvement. Take this butlers pantry for example. What a great concept, but the original ex*****on was in real need of improvement. After a full kitchen remodel this butlers pantry was truly transformed into a stunning galley of custom cabinets with elegant details.

Rumor is our fans love Before and After pictures. So…today we will start with a small but mighty space. Hard to believe this darling powder room ever looked like it did. Swipe left to see!

One day, if the stars align we will build these. For now they are our happy place …one week a year. May you all find your happy place. ❤️

Dramatic changes don’t always have to mean huge overhauls. Edit kept the layout very similar but we changed the cabinets, countertops and overall style. With a nod to the original mid century design, Edit was able to completely transform this dated space into something fun, modern and creative.

It doesn’t get much better than this! We are so grateful for all of our clients, but especially thankful for those who are so kind as to sing our praises. ❤️
