Warmz
We make handcrafted warm wear from the heart for people in need. Over 400 hats later, we are still striving to share warmth for those around us.
Warmz was founded by Ellen White in response to a challenge to use $50 to make a difference in the world.
Blues and greens and warmth and happiness.

Subtle sparkles! Thanks to our friend Mindy C. first this beauty!
Yesterday we donated 10 hats to Gathering Hope!
Gathering Hope MN - Home Gathering Hope MN is an organization that provides customized support to women and their children across Minnesota as they escape abuse and oppression.
Sunrise or sunset? Beautiful either way. Thanks to Theresa E. For the yarn donation!
Our friend Deb R. is a fabulous knitter and she knows how to make a superior Pom Pom!
Hats! Even though we weren’t posting, we were knitting! Special thanks to our friends who donate yarn-these hats were made entirely from donated yarn!
Greys and blues! Color blocks. With this warm winter we didn’t knit or donate as many hats-but that just means we can squirrel them away for next winter!
Today a representative from the Professional Counseling Center in St. Louis Park picked up 6 adult hats - just in time for a big drop in our MN temps! The mission of the Professional Counseling Center is: "to help our clients transition back into the community with a recovery mindset and lifestyle."
20 hats will be delivered to Our Saviors housing in Minneapolis after decorating the hat and scarf tree at Spirit of Peace Church in Minneapolis.
We’ve decided this reminds us of pheasant feathers!
Oops! I missed this in my round up of grey hats the other day!
A typical Warmz hat has between 1300 and 1600 individual stitches. Some have many more! When we say “Handcrafted Warm Wear from the Heart” we are contemplating the kindness that is knit into each individual stitch and finished hat, with a future recipient in mind.
35 hats have been delivered to Feeding Brookings in Brookings, SD where our founder Ellen is an active volunteer!

Picturing a cute little person with pink cheeks and warm ears!
The way Janet captured the subtle beauty of the yarns in these two hats is extra special.
These lovelies are from a new knitter (new to Warmz, obviously accomplished at knitting!!) who found us here on Facebook! Thank you Janet S!
One of my favorite textured stitches. This yarn really shows it off.
A couple simple hats started last spring and recently finished. When the yarn has a lot going on-a classic design helps it shine.
This fun stripe variation knit up so quickly! Started it a few minutes before we left for dinner, knit while waiting at a busy restaurant, knit some more while chatting and watching football, and sewed in the ends before going to bed. I’m delighted with how it turned out and I hope someone will love wearing it.
