Meet Blondie 🐾 a member at Daisy’s Dane Sanctuary!
Blondie has lived in a barn her entire 2 years of life producing litter after litter. She had her first litter when she was under a year old and the most recent litter was just in March. Her poor body has had no time to heal until joining DDS! Blondie is now spayed and ready to retire!

Despite not ever being in a house, she is doing great. She seems to be potty trained and very calm. With a little guidance, she’ll be the perfect cuddle bug! She does need another dog for a companion as that’s all she’s known however she seems to mainly like male dogs. That could change after her hormones decrease though.

Meet Gumbo! Gumbo is a 5 month old Husky mix. Gumbo was found as a stray and no one ever came to reclaim him. He loves other dogs and humans, he has met children before and done well with them. We are unsure of how he would do with cats. He’s still a puppy so he definitely has some learning to do, but he’s working on learning basic commands. Gumbo is UTD on vaccinations, neutered, and ready for his forever home!

I’m a handsome male Great Dane, and they estimate I’m about a year old, but my actual bark-day is a mystery, so you can choose when to celebrate me! I’ve got the hang of potty and kennel training, so you won’t have to worry about any accidents. Right now, I’m a little reserved, but my foster Mom keeps saying I’m a real sweetheart. 🥰

I mostly get along with other dogs, but I still need to meet a few more to be sure. I lived outdoors before coming to DDS, but I’m looking forward to the day when I can have a family of my own! If you’re interested in getting to know me, please bark to the kind folks at DDS!

“This sweet 12lb heeler mix jumped in our van down in Louisiana last week when we went to save all the Great Danes! She was begging for love and well…could you turn down this face?! 🥹

Lottie wants to be working dog and although she’s just a puppy, she is showing all the characteristics for this breed. She stays in the yard without a leash and just watches over everything. She really is the best girl! She was running with all 12 Danes and did well.”

Let’s help Goober find his forever home! 🐾 This sweet boy was rescued from the City Pound in 2023 and has been returned from two adoptive homes due to anxiety and issues with a senior dog. At around 15 months old, we believe Goober is a lab mix, possibly with some Great Dane. Despite being labeled ‘aggressive’ by the pound, he’s shown nothing but curiosity and energy with us. Goober needs an active, patient home where he can burn off his puppy energy and enjoy some cozy naps. He gets along well with other dogs and just needs someone willing to give him the time and love he deserves.
