Waste Less Works
Waste Less Works specializes in demolition, deconstruction, salvage and sale of reusable material in Selective Demolition and full building disassemble.
Going going going gone.
Past two wall panels to lower. These are the tallest at 20 ft. Should be fun.
Hey anyone who understands building materials and random stuff want a sales job? WLW is hiring.
Foam scattered over a large acreage. Damn. Projectile foam sliced and diced by barb wire. Foam super sale! 2" mostly xps. Still great for cut to fit applications.
Never a dull moment. Waste Less Works is dismantling a very handsome 21 year old house for .
It is our goal to package this into panels and make it available to rebuild. It comes complete with all framing and windows and exterior door to make a 4000 sq ft house with two car garage. With some creativity this could easily become a barndominum or duplex or just a really great modern farmhouse.
Anyone want to partner on a modern rebuild? This is such a great opportunity for someone. Pricing to be determined but it is a worthwhile conversation.
WLW has done some interesting things in the name of salvage. The removal of this 26 ft wide cupola roof system intact and then cutting it in half for easier transport might be one of the sillier endeavors to date. Regardless the vision is clear; put this onto a foundation stem wall or framed wall and make a cabin or tower or stretch it out and make a small house. The work is good and the pieces will go back together. It just takes some vision and sweat equity. Lots of potential here.
It was kind of a big morning removing the 26'x26' cupola in one go. All in all it was truly a success. Now we need to surgically cut in half to more easily make it down the road. Always the master of chess, I now offer the potential cabin firelookout tower roof for sale. I wish I had some land to pull off such a tower. Considering a few
elevation hurdles it probably would have been way easier to take the roof apart and just sell the parts and pieces but where is the fun in that. So if anyone needs a front and back porch or a cabin roof this complete roof system is a great opportunity.
Also. We have a small Mountain of 5 foot wide fiberglass insulation that needs a home lickity split. Cheap fluff great for a shop.
See that steel skeleton. Well at this rate it is going going gone to the ground tomorrow and .... drum roll please... will be rebuilt at our 2604 Industry street yard this fall if all goes well.
and all that type of #'s
Waste Less Works is making progress on our deconstruction in Missoula.
We have lots of R11 unfaced and R19 vinyl faced bats available. They are flapping in the wind for just a little longer and then will be rolled up and tucked onto pallets.
Removing the mechanically seamed roof in a usable condition was a really big hurdle, and may be a first in deconstruction history. Waste Less Works has proven you do not need to cut the metal seams to remove. Sure, it is labor intensive but replacing the same material is extremely energy intensive to forge and roll new metal.
We are excited to work with the
and to ethically and with environmentally consciously remove this building while saving a tremendous amount of materials from the landfill. SALVAGE AND deconstruction are awesome!
.
Cupola. Future cabin.
Awesome roof structure. 26x26 ish.
Yep wide load. Or two porches one we cut it in half.
Whitefish Credit Union has hired Waste Less Works to deconstruct and recycle the building at 1635 South Russell Street in Missoula to make space for a new bank building. We are thankful for the work and excited to salvage a nice steel framed structure.

Wow.
The excavator thankfully reached out to try and recycle this timber structure but how many buildings get thrown away because no Deconstruction company is nearby or no one cares?

Free boat. This showed up in my neighborhood. One day on a trailer the next day off. No owner, it appears, but a new owner is needed. Doable project for someone or it's going to the dump. I especially love the curved acrylic windshield. What do you think?

We are currently deconstructing this 1902 era Northside home. All salvaged building materials will be headed to . Some materials to watch out for: beautiful rough cut from the framing and sheathing, cool, old doors, and a classic stairwell.
We dismantled a dock on Flathead Lake earlier this week. Between the Mission mountains and Flathead Lake, the views were amazing.
There is plenty of silver beautifully weathered 2x8 lumber to be had in a few days after we clean them up a bit. These would potentially make great trim and siding.
Today, we had the satisfaction of completing a small garage deconstruction in the sunshine and warm weather! We have a great little package of trusses, a large garage door (shown on the last picture), sheathing, siding, and some 2×4s. Cheers to spring!
