Help us welcome Tabitha Knight and Furry Paws Grooming to the Davie Chamber!

"My name is Tabitha Knight, the animal lover and groomer for all your fur babies needs. I am the owner of Furry Paws Grooming. We are a family of 5 with 2 fur babies ourselves. My husband, Chris and I have 3 kids which we also homeschool as well. We had a big loss in September 2023 when we had to put down our Tank boy, he was a 120 lb boxer/pit and had the best 13 years of his life. Now we have Lucy which is a Shih-Tzu/Pom mix and Stella which is a blue pit.

I was born and raised in a small town of Tyro and honestly didn't know what I really wanted to do when I was asked in high school. I did get a certificate in Esthetics but while I was doing that I actually started working at a grooming/ boarding shop in 2006 right out of high school and I just fell in love. I finally found what I was called to do.

I started working at a vet in advance when I moved to Davie, then things changed in my life and I switched to a vet that is in Mocksville. Things changed in 2020 when Covid hit. I was facing no childcare and trying to keep my family safe at the same time. I took a huge leap of faith and opened my own shop, something I always dreamed of doing. I knew that the drive would be further for some customers, but my clients showed up with lots of love and support to follow me. These same clients are still with me and I've developed a real friendship with all of them, plus I get the added bonus of loving on their fur babies.

Steadily the business has grown every year since opening. My ending goal is to grow even more by having boarding and daycare. It may take a little more time but in the end we will eventually get there. We love and appreciate everyone that continues to support us through this journey and will forever be grateful."

Policy

Information Everyone Needs to Read!!

As of today October 2nd we are completely booked for the rest of the year.
With that being said the policy that we have about “No Shows” or Canceling with at least a 24 hr notice will be HIGHLY IMPLEMENTED going forward!
*Fee: 1st offense: 1/2 of the price for the grooming service that was being provided
2nd offense: Full Price
*During a Holiday— fee + $40
*Fees will be send via Square Invoice

Payment for Services: Payment is due prior to pick up or at pick up.
*Cash *Check *Zelle *Card (cards will add 3% fee)

We have had way too many issues the past couple months with this.
Everyone was given their appointments all year at the beginning of this year.
Please take into consideration to put these in your calendar and remember these dates.

I try my best to send reminders but I also have many things in my life I’ve got to take care of as well.

Again we like to get everyone here between 7am -9am.
Please be aware that if I ask you to be here at 7am please do so because I would like to get my day started just like everyone else.

We are so greatful for all the love & support we have had the past year. We couldn’t have done this without you! We cannot wait to see what the 2023 year holds for us!!

As everyone knows prices keep increasing everywhere and we are sorry to say we are having to do the same as well. Please bare with us as we try to inform everyone as we know not everyone has Facebook.
Prices will increase between $5-$15.

Drop Offs:
As early as 7am; Everyone must be here by 9am
If you need to drop off earlier please let me know.

Hours:
Monday - Friday
7am - 5/5:30

Vaccine Records:
Beginning January 1st
Required vaccine- Rabies & Distemper Parvo
Recommended but not required- Bordetella
**We MUST have a paper copy in order to groom your Fur Baby**

We have a Cancellation & No Show Policy. We need to have at least a 24 hour notice that way we have time to fill your spot. If we do not hear from you there will be a charge of half the price of the grooming service. NO EXCEPTIONS!

There is also a Late Fee Charge. I know that we tried doing one on one and I know everyone loves that but as we get busier with more clients we have had to figure out how to get more of you in in one day. We open at 7am and ask everyone to be dropped off by 9am. The late fee will be $10 added on the top of the groom price if you are more than 10 min late or you may be asked to reschedule. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Flea Prevention:
Recommended but not required. If we see signs of fleas they will receive a capstar (only works for 24hrs) $10 extra. They will also receive flea bath $5 extra. We have to take into consideration that we have to deep clean after those that have fleas to prevent the spread of them in our facility.

Dematting Fee: $5-$10 (could fluctuate depending on how bad). Also, if it will take me over 10 minutes dematting then it will be a cut down and start over. I can not keep pulling and tugging at your fur baby as it could cause more harm on their skin and/or coat and is also uncomfortable for them.

Nail trimming ONLY: $10 (no appointment necessary but please call ahead)

Teeth Brushing: $5 extra

Medicated Baths: $5 extra (please understand this would do best if you are able to come weekly or biweekly)

A**l Glands Expressed: $10

Payment Options: Cash, Check or Cards (cards add 3% fee)
