I have not done any portraits in quite a while. But combine a great couple, a wonderful background, and very cooperative weather, and it all came together.

Just a few very quick edits from last night's dress rehearsal for the Radiance Ballet recital.

Last year teaching photography. Final field trip. Went to Knights Ferry, Columbia, and Calaveras Big Trees

I can't believe it has been 4 years since our first day in Myanmar. What an amazing experience traveling and photographing this country which had been cut-off from the rest of the world for 50 years.

SOLD!: Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L USM lens. Before I put this on eBay or my favorite photographers' forum, I thought I'd put it here. This one is in excellent shape. There is one scratch in the body, but that is hidden by the tripod ring.
Speaking of the tripod ring. I have one that shows it's use and one that looks new. Price will be dependent on which one you want.
The hood has normal marks, the most noticeable shows in the photos.
Most importantly, the glass on both ends is flawless and the lens works perfectly, focusing quickly, zooming smoothly, and providing tack-sharp images.
Why am I selling? I got the chance a few months back to buy one with Image Stabilization, so I'm finally getting around to selling this one.
Includes the lens, hood, one of the two tripod rings, caps, case, and original box.

A larger set of photos from Vertical Surface Hoisting.

Here are a few from vertical surface hoisting practice. They were hoisting to and from a very steep hill (pretty much a cliff). So the cable had to be kept at an angle with the hill to give the rescue swimmer the ability to use it similar to a repelling line.

My son, Peter, was in the door working the hoist and verbally flying the aircraft.

Second play from scrimmage, the Jags take the lead, eventually winning their first-ever home playoff game 45-20. These photos are of that first score.

New high school football rule: Refs must be very small people. Just sayin'.

Fun practice for a nightmare scenario: If a helo goes in the drink, Coasties need to be prepared. This practice checks their knowledge and the integrity of their dry suits.

A photographer's gotta have fun, and this was fun! A few keepers from the air show at MCAS Miramar.

I am photographing an outdoor wedding this afternoon. Please, brides. Don't schedule an outdoor wedding in the central valley on a summer afternoon.
