Tough day on Sam Rayburn for ULM fishing. Kade Hillestad/Jayce Crayne ended up finishing 47th out of 190 boats with 12lbs 9 ounces. Huge thanks to Dana Hillestad for the post-tournament meal for the team and Partners Title for the support!

ULM Fishing Team members Hillestad and Pearce have banner year Kade Hillestad and John Kyle Pearce, ULM Fishing Team members, qualified for three national championship tournaments as a team.

Feels good to be back on campus for our first official meeting of the year! Everyone is excited to get things started back up and a huge thanks to Wide Open Contracting for the pizza!

It is finally that time of year again! We will be having our interest meeting for the team this coming up Wednesday for current ULM students interested in joining. Anglers must have previous tournament fishing experience to be eligible. All questions regarding college fishing and our team will be answered. Wishing Goodluck to Kade Hillestad and John Kyle Pearce as they compete in the Bassmaster National Championship at lake Hartwell, South Carolina the next couple of days!

Congratulations to our team of Kade Hillestad and John Kyle Pearce for an awesome performance in the 4 tournament series to bring home the Louisiana College state championship and being named the Louisiana anglers of the year! They finished the final stop of the series on Toledo Bend with 20.85lbs for their best five fish. Huge thanks to the school, sponsors, and supporters for allowing our teams to represent!

Super proud of our team of Kade Hillestad and John Kyle Pearce for their 9th place finish out 200 teams in the Bassmaster college qualifier on Sam Rayburn, which qualifies them for the Bassmaster National Championship! They ended day one of the tournament sitting in 62nd place with 12lbs and 9 ounces. On day two they had 18lbs and 15 ounces, which jumped them up 53 places on the leaderboard!
