A KNOE Weather Update - Tracking the threat for severe weather for Saturday.
There is a threat for severe weather this coming Saturday. Storms are likely Saturday afternoon and evening. The main threats will include damaging wind, hail and flooding. As of now, there is a very low threat for tornadoes. More details at 5 pm on KNOE.
Good Thursday morning! A jacket will be your friend this morning. We're waking up to temperatures in the 30s. A wind shift out of the south will lead us to a warmer day. Under a mostly sunny sky, temperatures climb into the middle 60s this afternoon. We still have the potential to see some strong to severe storms on Saturday. I'm breaking it all down on GMALM.

What a beautiful day! Lots of sunshine with temps at 70°F currently at the Monroe airport. A brief cooldown is on the way for Wednesday before we begin another warming trend… I’ll let you know how low temps will get tomorrow & I’ll have the latest on Saturday’s severe potential tonight on KAQY.

No major weather concerns throughout the workweek. But showers and thunderstorms return to the region over the weekend. I’m also watching the potential for severe weather. Keep in mind that it’s several days out. Stay tuned for updates!
FIRST ALERT! (*Please read entire post.*) Models are signaling that we could see showers and storms this weekend, with some potentially being strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined the entire ArkLaMiss in a SLIGHT risk (level 2 of 5) on Saturday’s severe weather outlook.
Since we are 5 days out, there is a lot of uncertainty around the overall severe potential, timing, mode(s) of severe weather, etc… There is no cause for concern at this time, but it’s something to keep in mind as you begin making plans for the weekend.
As always, it’s important to stay weather aware! Make sure you are following our weather team on social media & that your smartphone is equipped with our free KNOE Weather app. We will update both throughout the week as we learn more about what may be coming our way on Saturday. In the meantime, soak up the phenomenal weather in store this workweek!
Good Morning! We're starting the new workweek on a breezy but mild note. Temperatures warm into the low to mid 60s this afternoon under abundant sunshine! We have more pleasant weather on the way before showers and thunderstorms return to the region. The details on GMALM.
Tomorrow will be breezy across the area as a cold front passes through early in the day. Behind the cold front, wind gusts could be up to 20 MPH through early in the afternoon.
Pleasant week ahead for the ArkLaMiss
Here's what to expect this week in the ArkLaMiss. It will be a quiet week for the most part until rain chances increase on Saturday and Sunday as temperatures go back and forth all week from the low 60s to the low 70s.

Patchy areas of fog developing tonight before clearing tomorrow
If you have plans to go out tonight be careful on the roadways. Areas of fog and mist are developing across the area reducing visibility.
Tomorrow will be the perfect day for any outdoor Christmas decorating activities. Sunshine will return to the area tomorrow as daytime high temperatures reach the upper 60s and low 70s.

Temperatures have reached into the mid 70s this afternoon, well above normal for this time of year. We'll talk more about this warmth this evening at 5 PM on KNOE. Make sure to tune in!
Showers moving in late Friday
The forecast for tomorrow's Christmas Parade through downtown West Monroe and Monroe looks to be pretty nice. Skies will be overcast as rain moves out early in the day with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.
