Rodents; mice and rats, love to invade homes and “set up shop” in attics during the cool weather months.
While they mostly stay in the attic and garage areas they can and sometimes do make their way inside personal residences. The most common invaders in the area is the roof rat, and field mice. The problem is growing every year due to several factors. Let the experts at Morris Pest Control inspect and eliminate your rodent issues.🐀🐀🐀

Good though the end of the year!!

Did you know at every treatment the attic is fogged, all visible Interior Baseboard sprayed. Lastly, we treat the exterior foundation; including the garage.
When can we get you scheduled??

Termites Swarming...
Don’t Panic!
It is spring, the azaleas are blooming, and that means the conditions are just right for a termite swarm.
If you are home, or come home to find “winged” insects alive and crawling around, or dead on the floor, it could be an indication that you have a termite problem.
There is no need to panic!
The swarmer's you see (and they may number in the hundreds) have a very short window of life for most.
When they swarm they have one goal in life…. to find a mate, get back to the ground (dirt)…mate and create a nest for the beginning of a new colony.
The swarm usually only lasts for a very few minutes…however they will drop their wings and may crawl around for a few hours.
The swarmer’s do not eat wood!
You do not have to worry about them crawling over to the antique dining room table passed down for generations and creating a pile of sawdust by morning.
The swarmer’s are very fragile and almost anything will kill them…Hair spray. Cleaners like Tilex, or any disinfectants…and if you do nothing at all they will die in a few hours on their own.
Question: So the swarm is over and I never saw this before, they all died, and it has not happened since…am I ok?
Answer: No …If you have winged swarmer’s inside your house, it is a good indication you have a termite problem.
Now what?
Call a professional for an inspection, and a possible estimate.
Save some of the swarming insects in a plastic bag or something so your inspector can properly identify them. (Ant’s do swarm in the spring also).
The most important advise I can give you, is don’t panic…and go with the first company that gets there, out of desperation to “get this fixed”.
It’s not the swarm itself you need to worry about or focus on.
What is of concern, is that the colony that the swarmer’s left from!
It is the “workers” in the colony that the swarmer’s just abandoned, that can do damage to your house!
The good news is that they don’t do damage quickly.
In most cases when there is considerable structural damage to a structure…termites have been active, undetected, for a long time (couple of years or more.) Not always…. but as a general rule along the Texas gulf coast, the most common species is ......look in book Eastern sub-terrain an.
There is a more aggressive species “Formosan” termites that are along the coast. And migrating north…however this species is not as common right now, the further away from the coast you are.
So bottom line…the swarm itself, can generate panic…but don’t let it!
Call a professional for advice.
There are different treatment options…two basically,
1. Trench and treat.
2. Baiting system
3. There are others (borates)...Not as popular for curative treatments. However are becoming more popular for preventive treatments for exposed non-treated studs during construction.
When you get an estimate, pricing and warranties can vary.
You may want to get 2-3 estimates and carefully evaluate the warranty and the product used. Morris Pest control uses a top of the line product “Termidor” that has stood the test of time (10 years) without fail, to date.
We would be happy to evaluate your situation.

we love Reviews!
I have been using Morris Pest Control for 26 years. I have always had fantastic results and they have always been flexible with my schedule. They even scheduled someone on a Saturday because that was the only day I had available. Mike's prices are very competitive and fair. Again, I would not have been using them for 26 years if they were not providing a professional service. B Wuensche
